I've been waiting for this from Xiaomi for ages now and they've finally done it!

That is, add NFC to a Redmi Note

These will be so easy to recommend to people I know now because they'll also be able to do that 'cool contactless payment thing' as well as deliver basically everywhere else in the specs sheet!

Great future ahead if they carry on with this!

Tough choice, but Probably the 9 Lite I'd say.

Do either support wireless charging?
What's the difference between this and the note 8?

One thing - this has NFC, the note 8 doesn't.

Heat added as it's a great price. Went looking on fleabay and was wondering if it's worth the extra £9 for the pro version and hopefully will accept £10 off as best offer lol .

Well in that case Probabky the mi 9 Lite, I'd say arguably the mi 9t is the better phone. Which is £230 on eglobal, but cheaper on aliexpress

Cheers MrSwitch, don't know why, but eglobal just seemed the safer bet, although I've never used either!

Does this phone have "Mirror Link" ?

Hi mr switch, i'm looking at getting either the mi 9t or the realme x2 as my galaxy s8 contract is now finished. Which would you say is better of the 2, and where am I best to buy from? I've never bought a "chinese phone" before Thanks

On paper the X2 looks the better phone, better camera, nicer screen, expandable storage, super fast charging, slightly faster processor.

The X2 you can get from the official Realme site

The 9t can be had from ebay, amazon etc for around the same price
Is the X2 likely to go cheaper on 11/11 or Black Friday on the Realme site?

I honestly couldn't predict, its so new I'd guess at no! But you never know.
Redmi note 8t product page up on Xiaomi UK. Will have to wait to see on price as to whether it's worth importing.

I can't see it mate.

Good spot.

I've been having a nosey in their html and CSS too but alas nothing in there to confirm price.

They've tweeted about it coming exclusive to three UK too so will be interesting to see what the pricing is there too, though mid range and low end never are worth contracts SIM only / payg might be possible.

Spotted the Three deal too, it means at least this will get wifi calling on the Three network

Having just reread the specs sheet, the 8t in the UK starts at 3gb/32gb. So my bet is that comes in at £170. Then a £209 for the 4gb/64gb which would be consistent against these prices.

Does then make me wonder for myself. 8t, 9t, 9 lite....my choices are endless.

Will wait on 8t UK price then make a call. Gonna be a tough one.
