Great deal, would have bought it if I hadn't just bought a DSLR last week

White Edition is of a lower spec. Has only a 5MP camera. Don't know about you but I'd rather pay a tenner for a better camera...

Silver is so much better than white. More than £10 better!!

Worth getting this over the hd hero 2 silver for £30 less?

Hot for me, I bought one when thy come out, there are three specs, whit, silver and black. The quality is amazing, Although there were a lot of issues initially around the power unit and powering on, the forums were awash with complaints.

The camera is tiny, but when you put it in the case, is quite chunky.

Yep, its well worth it! Built in Wifi means you can set up the perfect shot. So many times with the old one I would go for a ride thinking it was set up right, and then when you get home to see the footage its at the wrong angle. Obviously you need a smart phone / tablet to be able to do this too though.

cheers.
Was either a hd hero 2 from Argos for £170 or this.
Went to Argos because they text me saying they were open at 10am with my reservation, they aren't open until 11, so ordered this whilst in their carpark.

Will no doubt hold its value more than the hd hero 2

I really would like one of these, but I also would like the Black edition, but I think that one would have more features than I would actually ever use.

Ive voted hot as it an awesome price but I think it may be a pricing mistake as the seller is selling the black version above RRP and also has another listing for a silver version above RRP

Purchased! Fantastic price, wanted the black but for this price its a no brainer to go for the silver, Thanks OP

Quite a lot of their feedback seems to state it comes from outside of the UK

Really want a Black Edition, is it worth taking the plunge on this? 30FPS doesn't seem that appealing....

Tempted but their feedback is pretty terrible.

Went for black edition, what sold it for me was the 1080p 60fps mode, the video is brilliantly smooth unlike my jelly footage from my existing camera. I must add I'm still to receive my one, but my brother could not wait so he ended purchasing instore in northface for RRP worth it!

it's not a misprice it's one of the ebay daily deals

Some of the Amazon reviews for the GoPro don't insprire much confidence.

Talk of warranties not being honored because water got through the waterproof seal, or serial numbers rubbing off.

the 30fps is the spolier. if you shoot action you'll want 60 at least

Good deal - heat added.

^ This,

Good price, useless product, you need the 60fps version or not at all.

thats a great deal then!, Pretty much same price as in the US. Unless you wanted the black version anyone considering getting a gopro, go for this deal, cheaper than the Hero 2 it replaces

Top deal and very tempted!

Does anyone know what these are like as a seller? ie will this come with warranty?

This can do 60fps in 720p mode, similar to the Hero 2.

Cheapest price for a GoPro 3 Black is £100 more than this at least?

I got the black version, bought it from US but still got stun £60 on tax, still great though.
not really had much chance to use it, but will take it with me on shoots.

tempted by this as a backup/spare and different camera angles but best wait bit longer.

Whats the difference between the Black VS Silver? Is it just the colour or specs too? *confused.com*

EDIT:

NVM, just seen this chart on the GOPro website:
gopro.com/pro…ras

Very tempted to buy this and sell my original gopro hd, using my phone to set it up will be a great plus point

You do know this version is for the Apple junkies among us?

interesting review of Photodirect. it seems a lot of their products are probably grey imports

Beware these are probably sourced from outside UK and therefore wont be covered by official UK Gopro distributor.

Warranty statment from the seller decription: "All of our products come with a minimum 12 months seller repair warranty covering parts and labour."

I have the silver and shoot in 60fps at 920 i think. There is an issue with the battery, I would urge anyone buying to go and get a mains charger do not attempt to charge from usb computer, it does not have the juice.

Worth noting these people have a dreadful record on eBay - check their feedback - not new, dodgy imports etc

720 more like

Bit of a luddite question but why are these billed as action/extreme sports cameras yet only do 720 at 60fps?

Heat added, I also posted this about 3 weeks ago for £224.98.

Never heard of these, they look ancient, not for me.

I have used mine on 30fps for skiing at 50/60mph and it's fine! Especially if burning to DVD

Thanks for the input, really useful.
