I thought my deal at £499.99 was good, at £450 it's deserving of the Frank Carson award.

Hard not to find something that big, that's what the Mrs says anyway

Good Mate, still chopping and changing with it and the note 9, but battery and camera are the two strongest points.

I remember that CD advert on TV (around the Xmas season, as well). How many unsuspecting (unwilling) granddads got that in their Xmas stockings that year
So close to my bite at £400, that is what I paid for my Mate 10 Pro, which is great and very overlooked in my opinion, made me happy to be using an Android phone again. My daughter has the 20 Pro and while she loves the camera she doesn't like the curved screen what are people's feelings on it over a nearly flat one like the 10 Pro?
Is it even worth the upgrade?
I currently have the note 9 but I'm trying to figure out if I should change to this. I need to buy my son a new phone for his birthday in the the next week also which was also going to be a note9. Aargh! I'm stuck

I decided to stay with my s7 edge as personal use.

Also Xiaomi as company phone with 2 sims.one for calling one for internet access.

And a sim only from Ee from HUKD webside, just for personal use.

Happy bunny

Curved screen looks nice and feel to eye.
But i was very nervous to use it without case.
So mine s7 edge is in case at all times as it felt slippery and thin at edges and I thought i will drop it.
Mi missus has s7 flat screen.but also has a case on it.

10P design a bit unremarkable, M20P much sexier, hardware up a level to premium territory

I think however 10P can serve well for some more time, got Pie upgrade and probably next emui version. Still strong.

M20 family's (regular without curved screen) price will fall further once M30 is released, very soon.

Then things will get interesting

I'm not gonna lie, yes, yes it is.

There's no denying the one ui is closer to stock than the 1,000,000 miles away emui, but emui isn't totally terrible. I'm easy going!

Am I the only one who thinks stock UI is the worst of all?

Why? I do its as boring as hell, when i use it i have to have the one with the most features and turn almost everything on.

Probably a little boring looking, but I wouldn't say one was worse than the other, they all have pluses and minuses.. Stock can't do the two knuckle screenshot I love so much, but stick also doesn't come with a billion apps I don't need. Pits and troughs
Random question but if my main things are camera, battery life and a large'ish (6) screen around this price (or less) what would people go for ?

Cheap and simple, ideal for tech-averse over-50's, much like iOS

Phones fly faster and easier to update

But Android is about customisation, among other things; the more features/options the better, as long as there's not much lag, is my cuppa

(There's also something I like about design of Pixel's UI that makes it so much prettier than iOS)

Jury is still out!
I have heard you can put the pixel gcam.apk on this. Does it need it or is the stock camera app good anyway?

Got honor play on your recommendation which I'm quite happy but now couldn't decide between S9 plus Vs mate 20X? Don't know which one has better camera etc

I've never used the s9 plus in all honesty mate, so I can't really give a good comparison, but the mate 20x camera is very very good, especially the ultra wide
