HMV are selling this new "Adventure Collection" boxset for £14.99 as is several other merchants. But when you factor in the 9% Quicdo cash back that makes it £13.64. I can't find it anywhere cheaper than that.

that just what I was thinking

Heat and rep added just for the good deal

Love watching these films

You can't state prices which include Quidco - not everyone uses it, and it's not guaranteed. You need to change it to £14.99.

Yes please state the full price excluding any possible cashback. Thanks.

isnt this on tv right now

still a good deal

Any word on Blu Ray versions of these?

- TEN PERCENT

10% quidco, its always 10% - please stop this, its annoying me greatly.

with student code and cashback, would work out at £12.

although ive ordered the german steelbook version, more expensive but so what.

pointless to buy there will probably be some kind of quad box set out by xmas this year .

I know what you mean, but I think I will always see these three as the original 3, if you get me. So I'm getting this and then I'll get the super special edition of Indy 4 when it comes out.

Users of this site should really be using Quidco too. I don't really understand why people would want to be missing out on getting some money back....:whistling:

God I'm looking forward to Indy 4

Rumour has it that the whole quadrilogy will be on blu-ray soon after the release of the 4th installment on dvd....maybe a christmas release?

God I'm looking forward to Indy 4 [/QUOTE]

We're all looking forward to Indy IV !!!!
less than 12days to go!

Surely, the one I posted the other day has got to be better value than this from The Hut, which is a 4 DVD boxset. :whistling: Here's the link ]http//ww…e-/

For me this is like £7.50 a movie. The Last Crusade is so bonecrushingly rubbish that I would probably throw it out the window. I seriously hate the Last Crusade, its boring as hell, like some hack TV movie, the comedy is corny, the support acting is embarrassing, I cannot believe its a Spielberg film. The start is rubbish, the end is rubbish, and so is everything inbetween

Yeah, as the guy said above. The older 4 disc boxset is better for the extra's although both sets have do have different bonus content.

I expect many people are keen to see the film, My only question is, have they replaced his whip with a walking stick ? Harrison Fords is nearly 66 - so I don't expect there will be episode 5..... but we never know

P'raps thats why they have brought in Shia LeBoeuf (the kid from Transformers), to continue the franchise as another young Jones Junior

Presumably like the old 4-DVD R2 set this version will still have the version of Temple of Doom with the cuts made to get a PG certificate. I checked on the BBFC website and can't see any sign of it being reclassified for this new DVD release.

I still have my R1 version of the previous boxset - that will tide me over until we get all four films on Blu-Ray

What was cut out to get the PG certificate? - (it's been many ages since I've seen the films and cannot remember :?)

youtube.com/wat…FVE

The entirely medically accurate heart-ripping-out bit was cut. There is a special effect where the big guy's hand goes straight into his chest (somehow getting through the ribcage) and takes his heart. Its all voodoo of course...

Actually even the youtube clip didnt have the full full version.

In my region 1 divx download, there is a strange special effect where you see the guys hand going through the other guys chest. It sort of wriggles around and then clutches the heart before yanking it out. The skin looks a little latexy a bit like in hellraiser where those hooks rip into the guys flesh at the start. When the man is lowered into the fire, the big guy holds the heart up, it sets on fire, and it drips fire to the floor.

Its all pretty dark.

. Its all pretty dark.

It sounds like a nice heart-felt, bed time story for the kids

Its really worth seeing the Indiana Jones movies on DVD, an excellent job has been done bringing the picture quality up to date. I've already got an Indiana Jones box set, but its worth getting just in case George Lucas decides to change something in the film when all the 4 films are released on a box set.

Yeah but if you want to watch them when ever u want its gr8
:-D

Now also £14.98 at Amazon (could use your £2.50 voucher to bring this down and still get free delivery). Also £14.99 at Play.com - there's a 5% off code there too.

On the subject of cuts, I seriously hope that the new movie hasn't lost it's classic appeal (by that I mean the way that each villain has met his end for example).

Will we get to see Cate Blanchette's entire body impaled on a large spike for example, or will George Lucas insist on ripping out the soul of the original it as he did with the star wars prequels?

Oh wait a sec, Shia Labozo is in this, PG rating anyone? Can't disappoint the 12 year old girls now can we?

That's interesting, I've just found out that the original trilogy was rated PG.

How on earth did they get away with that????

Even in it's cut state, the movies are still very graphic.
