BT are giving 50% off Apple Pencil when brought with the New iPad 2018 32g

Seems like a good deal since the pencil support is a major selling point of the new iPad

Bought one of these for the girlfriend's birthday last week (ordered from Apple on release day) must admit, compared with the first gen iPad Air - I couldn't believe how fast it was at loading web pages and its feather light. The Pencil is yet to be used.

Not happy to hear that, hopefully we get the chance to put that right in the future as I'd like to think we addressed any issues when they arose.

Got one last week and really fast and light at 500g and perfect for mavic pro platinum.
Was going to upgrade anyway, last one is 2012 version, so have bitten at this price
Never hadd an apple anything before, is 32GB enough? My Android phone (Moto x play) is always running out of memory
Cheaper than Apple student discount which would total £384.

In my opinion, no, especially if you want to put a lot of music and films onto it.

Some games can be 1 or 2 gb.
£3.49 delivery?
I am gonna chance the eglobal deal.

So £45 for a pencil. That's a bargain?

Tellin me! Can’t get over how expensive a ‘pencil’ is

If you're buying a pencil this is a better bet, no?
Logitech crayon is a probably a decent and certainly cheaper alternative if the Apple pencil is the main attraction
Any idea if John Lewis would price match? I have submitted a request but unsure if they match bundles
BT employees also qualify for a further discount through their 'Beat That Perks At Work'.

They don't have shops, so no they won't price match.

Ordered thanks op. Price needs updating as there is delivery cost of £3.49.

Don't forget topcashback, if BT take this as computing it's 1.05% which is most likely. If it comes under "online purchase" then 2.1%

A couple of points:

Isn't the Logitech Crayon half the price of the Apple Pencil? If so, with this deal bringing the Pencil to half price, I believe this would be the better deal, since the Pencil also offers pressure-sensitivity which I think the Crayon lacks.

Secondly, isn't the Crayon only available to purchase for 'education' customers such as schools et al? If I'm incorrect, then kindly let me know.

Your right.
Go via topcashback. Search ipad then sort by "latest product". Pick your ipad of choice then if you scroll down on listing and select bundle and add to basket.
Ordered thanks OP

Perhaps but I’ve had a 32gb Air for a while and whilst it’s slow now as a device, I’ve lots of space left. I stream content so not much stored on it, photos don’t take up much space and I’ve found a lot of things apps that are storage heavy use cloud based storage features. 128gb is great but it comes at quite a bit more. This is a good deal but I’ve bought a sealed one from eBay for £260 so there are options around if this doesn’t suit.

Your correct they aren't even offering it to UK schools. Logitech have said the crayon will be for US schools only with no plans to offer it to UK Education market.

And how would non employees get this? Is there a link to a webportal or a code, perhaps?

It’s the same as buying a drawing pad thing for your pc. They’re a lot more expensive to do the same job. They let your hand drawings become digital art.

Im sure artists and architects etc. Would think this very useful. It’s not to everyone’s taste

2 problems it's education only which means you have to be an approved school in the US to order it and also logitech have said they wont be offering the crayon to UK schools.

Unfortunately not, they have to register with their staff number and bt.com email address which is then checked against employee records.

Give it a few years, it'll slow right down when they start throttling it to 'help with the reduced battery capacity'
