Using the 20% off/credit deal at Very already posted this week, you can now get the brand new iPad 32GB (5th gen/new product to replace iPad air) as part of the deal. This has only been launched to order by Apple today and has only gone on the very web site today, wasn't available when the op posted what was already a fantastic deal with 20% off Apple products.

The deal works on any Apple product above £269 when you apply buy now pay later credit (12 months) - they then give you 20% credit thus reducing how much you owe. So a £339 iPad 32GB becomes £271.20 after the 20% credit, and there is £3.95 postage.

You have to place the order by the 27th March. I have just ordered the new iPhone SE 32GB, also launched today using this method. My order says I will receive by 29th March although initially it said 5th April.

Here is the original 20% off Apple products deal spotted the other day before this new iPad became available.

With very you can place the order now at 20% off before the 20% offer ends on the 27th March
It doesn't matter that its not in stock, as they still let you pre-order at the discounted rate.
I've just done the same with the iPhone SE 32GB launched today, also not available in stock yet 20% discount applies as I ordered before the 27th March...

They have
In the mini range the 4 is the only one available and its more expensive than this larger screen model.
If you still want a Mini 2, the best place is Apple refurb site, £189
I've bought apple refurb before, its as brand new, they put the product in a new body so its as new to look at and use.
they some times use the refurb site as a way of selling the discontinued stock, like the mini 2, so it could be a completely brand new item you receive

That's always the worry with them, was thinking about it but feedback, yes people are more likely to complain when they have issues, but this could become a disaster if things go wrong.
this is a great deal, i had a nightmare when i bought my phone from them with failed deliveries, duplicate deliveries and failed collections, then them trying to imply it was all my fault. horrible customer service, great if you are lucky enough to not have to deal with them.
Do this 20% offer count if you use the take 3 offer?

Buy now pay later option appears in the payment stage and if it's not there then your account is not eligible.
Yep sorted now, thanks for your help
The new iPad has better processor than iPad Air 2, but the LCD is no longer laminated to the front glass, as it is in the Air 2, the air gap between the glass and screen can noticeably affect contrast and color. The tablet also lacks the anti-glare coating that the Air 2 has.

Is the processor noticeable different on the Air 2 and the new iPad? I would like to buy an Air 2 due to lamination/size and price difference (need cellular) but do you think the Air2 would last for say 2 years of updates?
Pretty much any other company, yes. But Very? No way. oO

This is my main concern too. The Air 2 is two years old - despite the very similar hardware, surely this newer model will be the better long-term option? The main consideration seems to be: is the lack of lamination worth losing that longer support? How noticeable is that contrast/colour difference?

Luckilly the minor size/weight difference doesn't bother me in the slightest.

one of the worst companies I know, they're completely rubbish at the customer level (which is sort of where it's important to be good)

a completely horrible company with awful managers

Very will do deceitful things such as set up a credit a/c - with credit checks showing on your record, and a credit amount getting set against your name - without you actually asking for credit, you just wanted to pay for an item with a credit card

Awful cheating company that HUKD should ban

I had the same dilemma, ordered an air 2 but cancelled shortly after. The air 2 is now over 2yrs old (still not really outdated performance wise) but I'd still rather have the new up to date processor to last that little bit longer. As outdoor use is not a big factor for me I've now ordered this. My old ipad 2 is still going strong with the kids after nearly 6 yrs now so it's time for an upgrade for myself.
Waste of time. Went through checkout only to be told £300 credit limit... I earn a salary higher than the sliding scale goes up to. Good credit record etc.
iPad Air 2 is still absolutely lightening fast! I don't think it's going to be obselete anytime soon. I guess for the very latest games it might be an issue in the next few years

Apply for credit on your account first before placing an order that's what I did.

Can you put a deposit down, then the £300 on BNPL? They offered me £750 which is good but not enough for a laptop

Tempted to get the 128gb for £343
Very tempted at the price as the old iPad 2 while still going strong is starting to show its age now.

But Very have possibly the worst customer service in the UK today.
Once bitten, twice shy.
Not as good as the air according to reviews.

Wow! Now that is cheap!
No thanks. Android is the only way for tablets. Expandable memory.

If you've not experienced the laminated display previously then you probably won't miss it but it is quite a big difference when you compare them side by side.

I'm considering a new iPad and am tempted to get a used Air 2 64GB if the price is right. I'm slightly wary about the processor but I do think it will be good for a couple of years yet.

Thankfully they didn't have a keynote to introduce this one.

I'm a big Apple fan but I cringe when they say "this is our best line up ever" etc.
I must say that I have never had any issues with Very.

Previous orders have all been delivered on or before the delivery date quoted.

Also I like how they send me 20% off codes every few months, had some right bargains that way.

Yeah I'm the same, i go back and forth between iOS and Android. i've been using a Samsung S7 Edge for the last year and can't wait to get rid!

For the price this looks okay but i cant help but think you might be able to get an Air 2 at the same price which is arguably better.
