New Kindle Paperwhite 2015 £99 @ Tesco 7th Generation.

This is the new Kindle Paperwhite from Tesco, with £10 reduction, but it is also available to buy using Tesco Boost. So for a £50 voucher you can have a brand new 2015 Kindle Paperwhite.
Still good value at £99, IMO.

£1.24 Quid-co and another 99 Tesco points.

it would be £45 in vouchers not £50

I love Kindle 4 and have one.

Is it only me who finds £90 for an e-reader awful value for money?

Any comments on battery life?

Is this the version with or without special offers (aka adverts)?

The backlight pays for itself. Bought my first kindle a week before paper white came out, had lots of low light issues and sent it back the second PW was conceived and put out for sale. Well worth the extra cost.

I'd happily pay ten times more just to stop missus moaning how "that damn light won't let her sleep" at 2am. The only thing putting me off from buying new one is (so far) lack of jailbreaking software. I've got custom screensavers on my keyboard 3g model and I'd rather avoid going back to seeing Emily Dickinson's face each time I take it out of the bag...

Can anyone tell me if it shows any ads like some versions used to do?

My Kindle looks the same colour as a book. No colour either. Does anyone know what model it will be?

Edit: its a 4th Generation.

The Emily Dickinson screensaver gave me nightmares too but luckily it's not on the paper white 2 (2014 version?)

I've got Kindle WiFi with page-turn buttons on the side and no touchscreen.
Is it worth upgrading ? It's lighter than this I believe.

You have Emily Dickinson's face in a bag!? oO

I'm prolly waiting on the new Kindle Voyage 2 later this year I'm curious to see how much better it'll be than the Kindle Paperwhite 2/2015.

Although this might be a good deal in its own right...
A primitive black and white tablet which does little more than display text, is (putting it lightly) pretty major rip-off at almost £100, considering you can buy a full-blown PC for the same amount (with 10x the performance, storage, and functionality).
Even a half-decent Android tablet costs less than this, (although being spyware), but it can do far more than the kindle.

What am I missing out on?

When I changed it to my paperwhite I, I didn't notice change in weight. Back light is very useful, I use it even in daylight. And I don't need to use night stand lamps anymore which is really good.

It's £17 cheaper on ebay for a new one. So this is not a good deal from Tesco.

pc isn't mobile and you can't read a tablet outdoors (without eye strain)

I'm curious as to how much better the voyager is to the paperwhite, anyone had both?
This is the 3rd paperwhite by the way (_;)

The kindle I collected is shown as 7th Generation, if that helps anyone.

Do they tend to have this in stock in the big tesco's stores?

Brilliant find thank you. Checked my Clubcard account and I have enough points. I already have a Kindle e-ink which is great but i'm wanting to read magazines from my library, does anyone know if this will be a good device for that? Thanks guys

The graphics are in my opinion excellent, and we have upgraded from an e link kindle, we also have a first version paperwhite and the graphics on this new one are far superior.

Thanks for that. I've been saving my points for an Ipad but these boost offers come and go and its a risk. I've enough to almost pay for one of these
