I have been looking to by a Kinect for my son and I have been looking for a good deal and saw this in HMV Meadowhall.

Brand new Kinect for Xbox 360 and Disneyland Adventures (or you could chose Kinect Sports 2 or Dance Central 2 - edit.)

Receipt says:
XBox £129.99
Game £39.99
Discount £79.99

I know you can get the game cheaper, but thought it was good for the bundle.

'Adventures' is included too.

Good deal, however the only kinect games im looking forward too are Star Wars and Mass Effect 3 so im gonna wait until the new year and the kinect sensor may be cheaper then.

I'm assuming this is instore only as I don't see it on webby - link please if i'm being daft

My daughters would love this

That's a great price for the two. The Kinect on it's own is that price at best, so effectively you are getting the Disneyland game for free! [a £32 saving then I would say ]

The only bundle deal I can find is with Amazon. Kinect for £89.99 then add a game from a varied selection for an extra £20
amazon.co.uk/gp/…W2G

Choice of 8 games including the new Disneyland one.

Nice deal, pity it's in store only

did this include kinect adventures too?

Nice price, heat added but no HMV near me, got mine on Amazon with kinect adventures for £109 delivered

It probably will do given that to my understanding Kinect Adventures comes bundled with the Kinect anyway.

This is an excellent deal as far as I can see. My other half has been mentioning that she likes the look of the Kinect for the Dance Central games. With some tactical trading in between HMV and Gamestation for Disneyland Adventures (I have some spare credit from Gamestation too), I could probably make a better deal out of this than the Amazon one.

Plus £5 gift card back with every £20 u spend instore just mention the o2 offer

Ficking great deal, been looking all week! heat given

Nearest HMV to me is in Lincoln and with the Xmas Market being on it will be a nightmare to park - gonna see if PC World will price match ...

I understand a new Kinect is due out soon that can be used in smaller rooms, think I will wait even at this price.

According to the "experts" on here, it was going to be £50 Jan 2011!! For some reason its not dropping at the expected rates. This deal is hot, I just need to figure out if it would be used OR if it will end up as ANOTHER piece of unused tech gathering dust after two weeks.

You can buy an adaptor thing that helps (some say otherwise!!) with small rooms.

Can you clarify this? I haven't heard of it; the only thing I've heard of is an attachment called the Nyko Zoom that clips onto an existing Kinect, but is meant to be a bit rubbish.

EDIT: Found news of a Kinect for Windows coming out next year that can focus a lot closer, but that may just be limited to PC use.

Are these any good? How big a room do you need for this to work?

Just wondering whether to get this for my 3y old DD. Don't even have an xbox yet, just wondering whether to get one since there seem to be a few deals on them at the moment. What are the good games on them for 3y plus kids if there are any such ones. Are there any games of educational value like puzzles etc for kids?

Great deal - heat added

Just cancelled my Gamestop order.

I have been rining HMV Bekton for 11 minutes with no answer to try to finds out if they are doing it.

Anyone know?

You heard wrong. They're releasing slightly new hardware for the PC with new firmware for closer tracking. It won't effect 360 gameplay.

Does this kinect work with any 360 ..old fatty( PSU ?) or new slimmy ??

I'm using the new dashboard and it is so much better with Kinect, and the Kinect is a lot more useful.. The navigation is very easy and is a huge step up. Microsoft are going to keep pushing this tech, for £90 and a free game it is definitely worth it.

Works with both, comes with an adapter if you are using the old Xbox, the new Xbox has a port built in for it.

Massive thanks to the op just picked this up from hmv Poole staff didn't even know the offer was on

Just picked up last one in Milton Keynes store with Disney which is going straight on e-bay, Bargain!!!
Bring on Mass Effect 3 !!!

No new Kinect is imminent. All Microsoft has said is that Kinect 2 will be accurate it will be able to read lips. It is also expected to be bundled with the next Xbox.

Very good deal.

What is the o2 offer

it most likely does include Adventures - if it don't u can go to CEX/Game and pick it up 2nd hand for about £3.00

Nice find. x

Answered my own question (probably the best way)

Beckton ARE doing it.

Great deal. I hope Gamestop are ok about me cancelling my one ordered last night

Heat added, just got one from Telford Town Centre, tried to do O2 deal as well but wouldn't let us as counted the whole bundle as hardware.
Great deal though and know a few people have said but it does include Kinect Adventures. Was suprised there wasn't much promotion instore for the bundle though!
Thanks OP!

Telford has them, but not sure if that's close to you!

Yes, if you like the Kinect games available. You need to stand at least 6ft from the Kinect/telly (and have room to move left and right), 7 or 8 feet is ideal for adults or multiplayer games

I would say 3 is too young for most Xbox games (they're too hard at that age) and she might not be tall enough for the Kinect. I would wait til they're starting school, (at least 5) to make the most of it. Even then there's not much geared for younger kids. 6-7 year olds love stuff like Lego star wars and Viva Pinata. Kinect Dance Central is actually aimed at older kids and adults and is relatively hard. You'd probably be better with a Wii or some PC games (expecially of you want 'educational' ones).

Edited by: "Zimmy" 4th Dec 2011

Just been into the Colchester Branch and got this. Excellent deal. £89.99 with a choice of Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports Season 2 or Disneyland Adventures. It also comes with Kinect Adventures.

Perfect deal for me OP thanks. My eldest is going to love the Disney game.

Is this the kinnect which features lip reading? Or is that not out yet?
