From recent experience with laptops direct, they probably only have one in stock..

I'd rather take my chances with an unknown ebay seller.

Yes they do seem to have a habit of selling items they don't have in stock then trying to sell you something else you don't want.

A while back I ordered a PC at a great price, no stock and they tried to sell me other ones..... I cancelled the order. Amazingly as I'd gone via Topcashback, 2 months later I got payment for the cancelled order
I considered this compensation for their lousy service.

Its happened twice now, you would think I'd learn. On two phones in the space of 4 weeks, that probably says more about me than it does for laptops direct.
Its only a snapdragon 435 soc can get a xiaomi mi a1 for same price on ebay with snapdragon 625 and 4gb ram and dual camera so sorry this time its cold for me

Good for you!
Looks good but decided against mainly because I was worried about a repeat of the bootloop issues I had with my (LG made) Nexus 5x just outside the warranty which left me with a useless paperweight - the only phone I have not been able to sell at the end of my use. Also I wasn't keen on going backwards to MicroUSB after using USB C for two and a half years.
