Good find. Was struggling for a good cheap laptop for son's xmas pressie. All sorted now.. Thanks
Is the recent Lenovo X121e deal better than this (bang for you're buck wise)?

benchmark here

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-E-Series-E-450-Notebook-Processor.60138.0.html

its in the budget range due to the laptops small form factor
looks quite nice and a huge improvement over a netbook but be aware this is an ultraportable so dont expect the same kind of performance you would find in a full size i3 laptop. Still good enough for almost every task and should even be able to play most games at low to mid settings so have some heat
nice deal

Any idea if these ones have cooling issues? I recall some of the earlier AMD Fusion machines being rather flawed in design. I've got a Asus EeePc 1001ha at the moment and this seems a perfect replacement (I do a lot more multitasking these days), reasonable graphics too for a machine of this size in comparison with the netbook.

not really sure how the cash back works can any one please explain it to me? :$
Hardawan, Sign up on topcashback.co.uk and search for Hewlett Packard on their site then go through their link and buy to accumulate the cashback on your account.

Also, out of interest, is the 1366x768 resolution sufficient on a screen of this size? I get fed up with scrolling horizontally sometimes on my Eee, if not are there any ultraportables with even higher res?

It makes an astronomical difference. I had to sell my 10.1" netbook because the res was too low, too hard to work on/too much scrolling etc, I managed to bag one of the 11.1" Haansprees for £196 from misco. If I hadn't had I'd be snapping this one up.
Is this laptop able to support newer pc games like the sims, mass effect etc and not lag. I have no idea about pc gaming, so any help would be greatly appreciated

Great deal btw.
Will this run fine with Football Manager 2012?
Great deal, nice find
Absolute bargain, in my opinion. The specification is more than enough for most people, and the form factor is fantastic. HP quality too, which is pretty good.
Don't forget HP are very unreliable. I have my mates broken one here at the moment. HP don't want to know. It has a known fault that is all over the internet.

Any idea how this AMD CPU compares to the Intel in the Hannspree?
Cracking deal for a very powerful ultra portable laptop, ordered!!! It can replace my 2 year old Packard Bell DOTma 11.6 netbook.

Ordered, thanks OP.

HP site won't accept payments for this laptop now. Out of stock maybe.

I would like to know this aswell

Will this run fine with Football Manager 2012?

I'd say it would be fine. i read this CPU is comparable to the intel SU2300 which is in my asus ul30a. i also have 4gb ram as this does and i run football manager 2012 just fine. it says my pc performance is half a star but processor works fine. but then again i dont use the 3d match engine cos i dont have a graphics card.

the graphics module on this is not dedicated but integrated using system ram, but is still not that bad. heres some info, its a small step up from this (6310) but this chip has more gaming tests on this site.

What's the battery life on one of these?

this has a similar spec and says it can last 8 hours... http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pavilion-dm1-4027sa-11-6-laptop-silver-11290967-pdt.html

dont quote me on that though :s they could have different batteries

Any idea how this AMD CPU compares to the Intel in the Hannspree?

According to Mobile CPU Charts
Hannspree: #314 - Intel® Pentium™ processor SU4100
HP: #333 AMD Dual-Core E-450 processor

The Hannspree's processor is better, although not a million miles off the 450.
It's odd that it has 4GB ram yet only has Windows 7 32 bit. I'd expect a 64 bit os as 32 bit won't address all that ram.
Here's another good HP deal - using the same code.
