Just bought a Makita DHR242Z 18 V 24 mm Cordless Li-ion SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Drill & looking for a set of small mason drills.

Saw that Captain.banana listed a Dewalt set but not SDS sadly though.

So after looking I came cross this set and with the makita name on too.

Why not bags set just to have in.

Click & collect so making life real easy too.

Surely this is a better set for a few pounds more.

Yes it is probably is a better set but twice the price. As a SDS drill is generally used for heavy jobs I just like to have a few drill bits that fit all my drill machines, just in case.

Thanks any way.

Brought 2 sets of these last week, used the 5.5 and 7 for some skirting board into concrete wall @ 50mm depth, only about 20 holes and they held up well, little stars IMO.

Twice the price - twice the length of at least two of the Makita ones as well oO

Thanks anyway but no thanks.

Makita make good power tools but not good drill bits sadly. Dewalt are not much better.

If you're only doing the odd job here and there, these are probably a good choice. But if you're a tradesman like me I'd suggest Bosch

heat from me. Although, don't go expecting these drill bits to be as durable as some of the more quality brands.

Good to know heavy duty drill bits can handle 3cm through skirting board.
Ps, where did you bring them?

I always stick my skirting boards on. No holes to fill.

I actually bought this set from Amazon last week as well as the hilka set. Will see how they perform. I like the fact that each making drill had their branding on them and the case was durable too unlike the hilka ones which arrived with a broken case.
