Thank you OP
Not for me, my mates would sit in the back and demand I wear a black peaked cap. But heat for the price, wow !
Driven mostly by people doing 60mph in the third lane in my experience. Great car for all the innovation they have given to the car world! Respect the S class... However E class can simply be known as a Taxcedes 🚖
If my sums are correct on pcp over 4 years this could be £399 a month with a deposit of £11555 and a final payment of £23700

I'll just leave this here.

Now I like jags a lot. I think Ian Callum deserves a lot of credit for his work there. But at the top of the heap, I'd probably not pick the xf over its rivals.

Also, it turns out the 'hide' feature works well

GAH! I meant XJ.

Proper luxury for very decent price

Excellent price
these must be from my local Mercedes dealership in west London as they have started knocking it down and building a bigger and more modern replacement .. i wonder if Mercedes know more about Brexit than we do

I think £54,008 is dearer than £46,995.
Huge saving - major model change must be due soon.

Heat from me though.
Beautiful car
Peak of luxury
King of the road
Stylish and unique

God bless Mercedes benz
i wish it is offered with 0% APR

Love reading these comments, brightened up my day.

Good car, good price, heat!
After owning an s class (w221) 3yrs back the a, b, c and e class just don't feel like how a Mercedes-Benz should be. The s class is the most comfortable luxurious car under £100k
If i didn't need a 7 seater I'd definitely buy another S class
Edited by: "montana78" 17th Oct 2019
It's a decent price for S-class. I would consider the deal if I was looking to buy this year.
Not too bad at all. In those 3 years did you have any major expense?
Mercedes are cheap and nasty these days hence the crazy discounts.
Even the high end models feel cheap inside.

They probably know you can sell more luxury cars in a tax haven.
I think the new one is due out next year hence the huge discount
Sure it looks nice, but on the bus i don't need to wear a seatbelt so ner ner
Looks higher spec than my sisters father in laws second hand one. He paid about same amount. Will gloat next time I see him. Hopefully he doesn’t think it’s an opportunity to burn more money after only a year.
If I could afford it, I would buy it!

Our second car for the last 8 years has been an older Mercedes S Class and it has been superb to drive and surprisingly cheap to maintain, even though it is now at 150,000 miles.
Jaguar's questionable reliability is well known within the industry. Unfortunately they play second fiddle to the German auto makers. I can't think of a single modern Jag that out performs an equivalent VAG, BMW or Merc model. Ahh wait there is 1! The uber rare £150K Jag XE SV Project 8.
If you have the money buy it, keep it for 6 months then sell it and get your money back HOPEFULLY!

PCP interest
reececasey17/10/2019 11:28

PCP interest

£54,008 is excluding that: that was simply deposit plus £339 x 47 plus balloon.
I wonder how many people who voted hot, can actually afford one.

So you got a different, used car with 66000 unwarranted miles on it and compare it to a completely different car?
Don't be fooled by the RRP, you will lose ~50% of the discounted price over 3 years. If you take a look at 16 plates you can see they are listed at ~£25-£29k by trade sellers. You're likely to get a fair bit below that selling privately or selling to the trade.

Not saying its a bad car or deal. Just that the RRP can be highly misleading, particularly on these Luxo barges.

Just to get this clear - you are comparing the RRP of a brand new product with the price of a 3 year old product?

No. Not sure how you got that from my post

I'm saying it will lose ~50% of the discounted price (£46k), so you should expect to get ~£23k back after 3 years.

The RRP may mislead some into thinking they will lose less, so I'm highlighting the RRP is very misleading. Luxo barges like this are often sold at heavy discounts and/or with a stack load of options depreciated to zero on pre-ordered vehicles.

Hope that clarifies my point?

?? I've no idea what you've driven. I have a E350 from 2010 and for me it's miles comfier than my friends top spec £70k Audi Q7. Absolutely lovely motors to drive, sensationally comfortable compared to BMW and Audi IMO.

Everyone has their opinions, I tried the competition and for my needs it didnt offer as much.

I have a BMW 530d m sport and a lexus ux and they are both far better than any of mercs I've looked at.
Even my work car Kia Sportage 2 66 plate is far better quality than Merc c and d class

Go into a Merc garage and sit in one of the new cars and then tell.me the quality is still there.
Was in Merc 2 weeks ago and won't be buying a Merc again ?
Almost buy one get one free or buy one get E class free
