Has there been an upgrade to the Falcon chip set recently?

well the Jasper is the one I got in January Last year and no RROD in 16 months, has there been another change?

Release date: 28-08-2009

Not that very many details, dont know what makes this a hot deal. Seems its a bog standard arcade and so far as I know there hasn't been a new motherboard since the jasper.

512MB internal storage I'd guess.

jaspers are not RROD proof, mines died on me after only 9 days and with about 8 hours of play.

Tempted, mine has just gone back to MS with an E74 error. There is only about 5 months left on the 3 year RROD extended warranty and I just know it is going to break on me the day after that expires. Might just wait till it completely goes on me and then chop in the 120 drive and controllers and buy a super elite in the knowledge that it will have the latest chip sets.

never said they werent, you just have bad luck. my brother had one for a year ahd his is ok also

my so called 'jasper' elite, has just had the E74 error :x, dont want to keep buying new consoles but am getting fed up with the reliability of this thing.

Might try to repair it and put it inside a proper pc case, as a part of the design flaw is the actual casing!.
