The yumyums are fantastic, I can only handle one at a time though..

Unfortunately they're 'well handled' by Lidl punters ...

We only ever buy from the Bakery if we're there at Opening Time.

The maple pecan plaits are delicious. Will have to try the Yum Yums, I wonder how they compare to Greggs?

I am always at Lidl for between 8 and 810 am for my bakery items - for all the obvious reasons

We rocked up at our local Lidl at 07.45 this morning to avail of some of the Super Weekend and Pick of the Week Deals. Some Maple & Pecan Plaits also found their way into the trolley ........!
Love these

What do you want me to do, stand there with a taser to deter "handlers"

I would happily pay more if you could do that

Way nicer from Lidl; they’re filled with toffee sauce & cheaper at this price!
Looks like a battered jobby.

Likewise - and until Lidl UK operate a system like the ones on mainland Europe that's the way it'll stay. Why must we always be the dirtiest country in the EU?
Love these but my diet is 4 weeks in so ill be swearving LIdl!!

Not just handled! What about kids licking the sugary coating off, before returning them to the bakery shelf?

not worth the calories. Someone enjoy one for me!
This starts as basically dohnut dough an then smothered in sugar an that's why it tastes nice, besides that it's fat and crap
Everything always looks so good, but I can never bring myself to buy anything. If the flies or fingers haven't got them first, then surely they must go stale quickly! Why on Earth do they just leave them there uncovered? Such a waste!
Looks like a turd

Whilst leaving stuff uncovered may cause it to dry out a bit, the impact on the texture is minimal. Staling is a separate process to drying, and can actually happen quicker when a product has a higher mositure content.

Any covering or lid is likely to be so ineffective it won't slow the drying, although likely to stop soany sprogs poking them!
Mmmm sound lovely

Looks more like a turd eight hours or so after consumption, to be fair...
Terrible photo. These things are dangerously addictive!

Who actually cares what's in it... Its delicious.

Go to gym burn off all the crap.. Sorted.
Never in a million years would I eat anything from the Lidl bakery. I saw someone sneeze right by the doughnuts the other day and I've seen kids picking items up and putting them back previously.

Set up's like Lidl's should be falling foul of food hygiene law's. Definitely a risk to public health in my opinion.
A guy in my work called them council estate cakes.

Snotty comment. Seeing far too many of these lately on here from "Holier than thou" types who think they are better than everybody else when in reality they are only a quarter of a notch (if that) ahead on the societal ladder.

The two Lidls in my city have 5 star hygeine ratings. And notice how you guys always go after Lidl on this. Never the bread rolls out in the open at Morrisons or ASDA etc?

You are the type of people who get their kicks luring over episodes of Benefits Street. Bigoted little scroats.

"Snotty" is another way of describing what ends up on Lidl bakery items...

Don't talk rubbish mate I love Lidl and shop there regularly. I just wouldn't buy from their bakery or any other shop that didn't cover their food.

Can't speak to the "flies or fingers", though I've never seen evidence of either. As for stale though, I've bought loads of cakes from there, during the last offer with the 3 for £1 custard latices and quite often didn't get to the last one until a couple of days after buying and even purchased late in the day then just stored at room temperature in the bag they were never stale.
