More a voucher than a deal. I could post anything over £150 as a deal if that’s the case.

Ah nice
Tempting
I have a switch but considering getting a 2ds (I have a really battered 3DS). Bit of a downgrade since there’s no 3D but the Pokémon ones look too cool to not get one

This is one of the 'new' consoles so it's an upgrade from the originals. It can run the couple of exclusive 'new' 3DS games, run demanding games better, and run SNES Virtual Console games. And it has the 2nd analog nub and ZL & ZR buttons. But no 3D effect
*AND NFC Amiibo support Thanks @Jonnyblock

And nfc Amiibo support which the old xl's don't have, I think?

Hmm sounds interesting, and after reading the other comment that is also useful but I don’t think I would be getting any games that support amiibo mostly would be getting for the Pokémon games
It's £10 extra for Pokemon when you buy the cheaper £75 2DS and £25 extra when you buy the £130 2DS XL

Hot by the way.

Or pay £10 extra and get the Pokeball edition.

The new controls work as the Circle Pad Pro for games compatible with it like Resi Revelations

I paid a lot more for a 3DS XL and it's the fantastic quality hardware you'd exptect from Nintendo, but the 3D feature isn't worth the price for me. It feels more like a gimmick than a necessary feature.

I wish the 2D version had been available for this price, I'd have saved a fortune! Bargain.

It's £139.99 so £129.99 with £10 off code or if you buy something else over £10 at the same time (eg a Selects title) you can use the £20 off code and effectively consider the console £119.99

Quite tempted to do this, as you can pick up Pokemon moon/Sun for £20 if you shop around.
Can anyone recommend games beside the known games (Mario, Zelda etc)?

Looks like the 2ds xl is dropping in price with all these deals.. is this trend going to continue further anytime soon?
Great deal. I got the 3ds and this pokemon game. The game itself sells for 35-40 and I don't ever see it drop much from that price. Really good deal.

Makes me wonder if they will discontinue the 3ds now. I'm guessing a mini switch handheld is on its way in a year

All the deals are because of the Tesco Direct codes (which Amazon copied). Codes end tomorrow

I have a Switch, PS4 Pro and Xbox One but I went for a 2DS. Mainly for the huge library of DS & 3DS games but also because it seemed like great value with the Pokemon Ultra game. The size of the screens can take some getting used to but it's a really comfortable handheld to hold. More so than the clamshell design of a 3DS/2DS XL. But you are losing the extra buttons which are important for games like Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. I do still play Resident Evil on a 2DS... but it's not just ideal when you are using the face buttons to aim. But then the c stick isn't the most accurate thing to use either. Can feel quite fiddly. If you put the 2DS right next to an XL you'd notice a massive difference in screen size. But if you've only been used to the size of the old 3DS screens then it's very decent for the price. You should find a Pokemon 2DS on eBay
Honestly the 3D part of the 3DS is neat at first but I almost never used it again after a few weeks. There's a reason Nintendo have all but ditched the 3D part of the console. Plus enabling 3D heavily affects performance and battery.

Overall this is still a brilliant console without 3D. An amazing catalogue of games and one I've missed since selling my 3DS XL. So I'm tempted by this offer. Own a Switch (which I love) but the catalogue of games is still brilliant.
Didn't need. Bought anyway.
