Oos

I have one but it only the bottom screen is an IPS one, top screen is TN

I'm surprised these are still in this price range. does make you think, was we being unrealistic with £199 for Switch at launch?

I have been waiting for the right price for a New XL but now I have pre-ordered a Switch It just seems like I am buying it too late when the Switch is gonna be crowned the portable king. Its not like they are particularly cheap yet either.

In all honesty the breadth of games the 3ds has to offer I feel will never be matched by the switch. The 3ds is the most versitile console, in terms of genre, I can remember. It's utterly staggering the choice and quality of games on offer. I'll be playing mine for the next 10 years easily; it's quite unhealthy how infactuatued I am with it

I agree, and 60 million people obviously do too. I love my 3DS, got it at launch and never failed me despite being dropped in a foot spa. The Dragon Quest games bein my favourite. Trouple is the big A list titles will in the future be coming out most likely on the Switch.

I was looking at the switch but I don't think it would get much use in my house and the games seem overpriced plus my sons friends are all playing Pokemon so that's y he wanted this they seem to hold their value really well too

A footspa, that sounds like a night to remember!

You know I've never played the DQ series, MH, AC, FE and AA (a lot of abreviations there ) are my fav games on 3DS, is dragon quest worth picking up?

Regarding the AAA games you've got a serious point there. Bob and his internet using uncle would disagree that any AAA games will be on switch in future, but considering how the switch sold out in Japan in 15 mins and with the advent of RF your theory will deffo be true, even if we do have to import. The install base in Japan will make devs jump at the chance to develop for it, hopefully we just get english transaltions, if not it's time to learn Japanese

I've only played DQ 8 back on the ps2 and would highly rate it if you're a fan of jrpg.
I would be buying the 3DS version shortly.

I have been in the market place for my 3rd 3DS XL unit for a year now (we like multiplayer as a family on 3DS). I am happy to seperate from the Switch pricing as different consoles, but focusing on a 3DS XL, I refuse to pay this much even for a "new" 3rd gen unit. I can get hold of a limited edition themed 2nd gen 3DS XL like the Yoshi Egg one for the same price. I would rather even pay £100 more and get a US retro NES 2nd gen 3DS XL. The 2nd gen 3DS XL's are more sound purchases (and investments if you look after them and see it that way). Lots of choices for special edition Euro consoles too. A wee splash of different colours is poor and just doesn't do it for me. I remain baffled that Nintendo continue to overlook the UK and Europe with themed 3DS XL's.
