Specs looks so close to redmi note 5 except 1000 mah low on battery
Intrested , 4g bands are not showing so i presume this is not global version ? , looks like a idea size for me , note5 too big and too heavy
Are these the LTE bands? 4G:B1 (2100), B3 (1800), B34 (TDD2100), B38 (TDD2600), B39 (TDD1900), B40 (TDD 2300), B5 (850),B7 (2600)

No band 20, 1800/2600 so if you're anything but o2, you should be good.

Wth... Haha, that is crazy. And I bet it sells like hotcakes (in China)

7.5mm thickness folded, so it's basically a xiaomi mi max in thickness, jeez, if they can mass market that, then it will dissappear off the shelves.

Yep it is one hell of a bit of kit Xiaomi have one too the Mi fold there are videos on youtube of it but never thought id say this but the Huawei looks better, the Xiaomi is said to be using its own Serge processor not a snapdragon and they say will be priced $700-$800

Vodafone's primary carrier is band 20 800Mhz, without it coverage will be extremely patchy. 2600 is used for fill in/congested areas or aggregation. Likewise the 1800 and 2100 they now also use (as does o2).

Yes i looked at that but it got that break down the middle geekbuying got the 4gb / 64gb for £481 still as you say not to bad. The big difference is that the Huawei and the Xiaomi are using LG OLED 4K Flexible panels, apparently Lenovo have one in the pipeline too. They are all trying to beat Samsung to market with a flexible phone from the look of it. That Huawei though is a cracking piece of kit i like the separate phone screen on the outside in the folded position

It’s a concept drawn by a third-party from some patent pictures. Where have you got November from?

That is clickbait. That is literally a blog about the video as the source, it’s self referencing. If you type ‘Huawei Mate X’ into Google it has 1 hit for that concept video and 2 other videos which show the same phone without the folding bit (m.youtube.com/wat…6tI - this was 3 months before that meaningless concept video). And every other match is for the ‘Huawei Matebook X’ which is a laptop. There is only one source for that information and it’s that pointless concept video, unless you can prove otherwise. The technology just doesn’t exist yet and probably won’t for a few years.

I hate concept videos; it’s just some sad case who has too much time on their hands (skilled or not), then all it takes is someone to pick up on it and spread it as truth by self reference. Newspapers do this all the time!

The likely Huawei Mate X will be the same phone without the fold part (eg traditional smartphone shape).

No chance this will happen, essentially 3 screens in such a slim body? Doubt it

There is this again suggesting the end of this year wccftech.com/hua…ne/ and here smartphonedetail.com/hua…18/ and here gizmochina.com/201…er/ It may be a load of rubbish and there is no mate x but this article confirms they filed a trademark for the name en.letsgodigital.org/sma…ex/ and i never said it was going to launch in November i said they were hoping to

The Mate X is likely to be a micro bezel normal form factor phone. I think you'll find all these articles are self referencing that's why there's no explicit source - it's a common theme between phone news sites to try and get the edge, just look at Redmondpie. None of those sites look particularly credible and Mate X probably is a registered trademark but I suspect not much more than a name.

I could be wrong but that concept phone is definitely just a concept, the technology does not exist to cram three displays into a phone the size of a normal phone and a half decent battery.

Reshmi dont have nfc

I dont think this has it too??? NFC is a must in the UK. Its so convenient not to carry cash!
Did we get to the bottom of whether this phone was suitable for use in the UK? I am on Virgin (4G – 800/1800/2600MHz) and my searches seem to have pulled up mixed results. This phone is going cheaper on ebay too (well the 32gb ROM version anyway) at £184.
