Title is a little misleading, yes it might be 'new' as in not second hand or refurbished but it is not new as in recently released.
I was wondering where they got these from...

"Contains - US to UK Plug Converter"

...seems to answer it.

An iPad is an iPad though?
They have white ones in stock too:

I know you get the 3 months seller warranty, but do Apple offer an international warranty for these imports?
These will drop in price shortly, new ipad mini announced mid october

There are some reports that suggest this might not happen or limited stock available because of issues with retina display?

Might be just part of the hype though?

Cheaper than a apple refurb at £229.00

A 90 day seller repair warranty, a US ipad mini that's not really used but has been opened and then returned to store for a refund (so used a little bit at least lol) for a list of possible reasons.
Or buy a refurbished one direct from Apple for a tenner more, get a UK model that has had the whole body replaced so looks mint in a sealed Apple box and also get the same years guarantee as a new one?
This thing's got about the worst screen on the market. You wanna see GIANT pixels go for it. Also it's so slow about as quick as low end chinese phone that starts with £45.

You may like apple or you just like crap products, your choice. But these facts are true.

Every other manufacturer uses high def screens only iCrap doesn't. I'm just trying to be helpful. I see no reason why should there be limited availability?

I'm looking for a tablet between around 200 to 250 for partners xmas present. she wants one for browsing, Facebook, watching itv and bbci player and playing the odd game. can anybody recommend the best option please? is there anything better than this for the money? Thanks

Surely for an extra tenner its worth going direct to apple for a refurb and getting a 12 month warranty?
store.apple.com/uk/…ate
Bought my wife a refurb iPad 4 and to be honest they come with new screens and fully tested so are as new. Other than the box she wouldn't have known the difference.
*Just realised they are out of stock. But when i was looking for one stock levels fluctuated all the time.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 are very good little tablets.
For around £230 you can get the 10.1" versions which is comparable with the full size iPad and very nippy to use with a sharp enough screen. I also find that a lot of the apps i use are free on Android whereas the apple store charges (even if only 69p)

I don't know a lot about the newer tab3 but the 8" version can be had for £250.

These are just the first prices i found, alwways worth shopping around and also looking at John Lewis as they tend to do better warrantys.

Get a Kiddle Fire HD - does what you want and is under £180.
Luv my Mini use it far more than its bigger brother now TBH. Will be intresting to see how apple price the new one, I cant see them dropping the new price under £200 IMO and thin the retina (if there is one) is going to be as low as the Mini was when it oridginally went on sale.

What a load of nonsense. Try using one or at least read the reviews in T3 and the like! At don't even bother comparing it with a kindle or the latest tesco toy!!
If you look at this ebay sellers' other items this same item is available for £209.90. Even cheaper. I actually bought the 32Gb iPad Mini for £264.90.. There are also iPad 4's 32Gb's for £359.99! Seems good to me. Feedback is mostly good on ebay too.

As an Android fan (and disliker of most things Apple) I would say that none of the recent iOS devices are slow, that's one of the biggest things going for them, the fact that they can optimise the software for limited hardware configurations.

The screen is pretty rubbish though, in fact the iPad Mini is pretty rubbish compared to the iPad (which I think is one of the best 10" tablets)

I can't see why anybody would choose an iPad Mini over a new Nexus 7 though

Anyone who apologises before they even start is exhibiting troll-like tendencies.

You missed the "in your opinion" bit if you were not heading down the path of the troll.

In my opinion there is also a place for a 7-8 inch tablet, I believe Apple, Samsung and Asus to name a few seem to share that opinion, as do the millions of owners.

Ummmmmmm the mini has a better screen than the iPad 2 which is still available to buy, no its not as good as the 3 or 4 but IMO its not "pretty rubbish". Why would anyone buy a Mini over a new Nexus 7? Well I did and would again (even over the new one), i use itunes, I only want to pay for apps once so why would I buy an Android device? The new Nexus is very well speced, but is it really needed, the Mini speeds through everything I need it to do perfectly. Im not saying the Nexus is a bad bit of kit cause its not I am saying personally I prefer the feel and screen size of the Mini, as soon as I had both in my hands there was only one I was going to buy.

This whole "spec" culture is the clever marketing men doign their work and making people believe its a MUST have IMO.

Wouldnt agree, I do alot of commuting with work and traveling I tried taking my full sized pad and while doable was a bit of a pain in the ass holding it for an hour and jumping on and off trains with it, the smaller tabs are much better, IMO.

Yeah it is but I dont use the Mini for work. I get what your saying about the extra screen space but for gaming, music, movies/TV on the go (I stress on the go) the smaller tablet for me persoanlly just feels better in the hand. The wife has a full sized pad which mainly stays in the house but even then I still reach for the smaller pad, I dunno why. For any length of time you need a table of ur lap for a full sized pad, again this is all just personal preference.

Did anyone who placed a order for this item receive a faulty product like me - scratch to back of unit, marks where the casing meets the screen, a camera that didn't work to name but a few of the problems?!
