If going for the MIB twice, I would suggest getting one of each platform - as they will be funnier with the same platform.

Mix in a few other cheapies and you heighten your chances of not getting standard shirty service.
Cheers, have some heat

never had a problem at my 2 local stores,

Remember thou that the list changes at close of business on the 29th November. So you might want to pay extra for next day delivery
ive done this with ac3, blops2, all stars, hitman, borderlands 2, tekkn tag 2, each has worked out to £18-23 each, great deal for brand new releases
At my local the trade-in limit of one title is THREE copies. Also note that you can trade these in normally, whilst buying a digital product or placing a deposit on a pre-order, and get £22 trade-in value for these.

From today apparently they will have new systems restricting customers to trade in only one of the same game, it will also restrict anyone who trades with GAME in bulk ('traders').
Anyone know if this promotion applies to the special editions of games, was thinking of getting Far Cry 3 Lost Expedition Edition.
Hopefully Amazon will price match so i can use my prime. Might get some credit in for Wii U games !

Seriously? What are the restrictions?

Yeah, just phoned my local and they said they don't accept two titles of the same game. Should be expired so no one ends up with two copies of a sh1tty game.

Thankfully ive managed to cancel my PLAY order for 2X MIB.

That's not true. They just have 'restrictions' stopping you from trading in more than 3 of the same game. You can do multiple transactions though if the staff members nice. I did 16 copies of Rock Band 3 on PS3 and 360 and we just did it in separate transactions. They also allowed me to price match every single one
Nice find!!.... Is the men in black 3 though? @scar you can order special editions as far as im aware, sometimes there is a slight extra charge.

I've done this men in black deal. It works you just need one on each format. Not two on the same.

Do you definitely not need to buy from game.co.uk then? They won't ask for a receipt?
I just phoned my local and they're still taking 3 of the same title. Not sure where you heard this 1 of the same copy and restrictions?
When I got FIFA 13 from Game they allowed two copies of Lollipop Chainsaw, both on PS3.

This is a very good deal though and if I hadn't just got back into GTA4 (hoping to finish it before GTA5 lol) then I would have done this to get Hitman or Far Cry 3. HOT!
hi, I have never traded in before, this is an Xmas gift for my boyfriend. Do I order far cry3 now and also the two men in black games, then trade in next week when they all arrive? Any help explaining this to a simpleton appreciated! x
How does this work on pre-orders?

The Far Cry 3 pre-ordered version includes extra stuff - If I buy this online for £43 and Trade in Games on Saturday from last weeks list will this still work?

is it possible to go straight in to store pick up a copy of whatever and get it for 99p with 2 games... also is Black ops still included, says the games are for 2 weeks which would make it tomorrow
Let make this simple for all, as everytime someone posts this type of offer the same questions are asked

The game offer states

You must buy the game online (new release game) then once you recieve the game, take 2 games from the list to get a refund minus 99p.

However

Just take 2 games from the list instore and swap them for a new release there and then. There is no need to buy online.

If unsure ring your local store to ask but it seems 99% of stores are happy to do the trade there and then
**** off they have removed lollipop chainsaw off list!! Was guna use it for far cry3!
the list has an end date of 29.11.12 so if I get two MIB games with the aim of getting farcry on 30th, could the list effectively change and drop MIB?

yes

BUT,

take the 2 MIB instore, pick the new release they are offering. DO NOT OPEN THE GAME, keep the reciept safe, when Farcry 3 is released. Take your unopened game back to game saying "i bought the wrong one for xmas" and exchange it for Farcry 3

Simples
@ gotthatlovebug yes it could but MIB3 has been on that list for the past 3 weeks so far. i have used this offer for AC3 and think you should be fine.
thank you both for the advice
Far Cry is out Friday, the list changes on Thursday.

A bit of a gamble if you want FC asMiB may not be on that new list, but good deal

EDIT - I'm a bit slow

just ask them to put £42 on. Gift card for when the game is released that's what I did with halo 4 when trading two in before it was released.
Game stores have a new system called DDR or something that monitors what staff do, for example how they use their staff discount and if they abuse the trade in system by accepting multiple copies of games. Your local stores may not know about it yet but apparently its pretty serious.

This has come direct from 2 GAME managers.

Im sure thats been in place for a while with the guide lines being no more than 3 copies per transaction.

I do know of 1 store (gossip from game staff) of a game store milking the trade ins during the "extra £10 credit per 3 games traded". They were taking large amounts of old fifa games rather than limiting the amounts. They mention one customer(memebr of staff) took in nearly 100 copies of old fifa's and they put it through in 1 transaction.

Im lucky with my local game store, as long as i dont take loads of crap games, i can trade what ever i like and as much as i like.
Edited by: "ed1980" 26th Nov 2012
@ moneyeyes. This has been true for many years however it all depends on whether a store is meeting there targets.

Also the list effectively changes midnight Thursday. And from experience they don't change it too much.

LOTR: war in the north is £10 both formats @ morrisons.
Direct from 2 game managers. I am a game manager and the wool has been firmly pulled over your eyes mate. I a manger personally says if the titles are on the website list of trade ins then i will take them instore. It is my duty for queen and game. The reason game are taking in all these crapy games for trade is is that they are planning to sell them at over inflated prices in january to march as there is nothing coming out them months. This new strategy is because we always run low on used games at the begining of the year.
I have done this twice before with armoured core v on the Xbox.

Both the same game.
Both the same console.
If they ask just say one was an unwanted gift or something
What are the other selected titles that can be used for trade in???
IIve ordered them standard delivery. Just hope they don't get removed off the list.
Can anyone confirm that this will definetly work in store as it the offer is for GAME online as the terms and conditions state:

Terms and Conditions: 99p is the price you'll pay for a selected new release game when you buy online at full online price and trade in 2 selected games in-store for the value of the new release game (purchased online) minus 99p. Offer is valid for two weeks after the release of the game purchased online. Proof of online purchase must be provided.

I don't want to get stuffed...
I suppose I could just buy Hitman online - not open it then exchange it in store for the one I actually want (but its a bit of messing about).... If I don't have to I'll just go into the store with my 2 copies of MIB3 and get Hitman then change it when Farcry comes out....
