Looks fun, but not many miles in the contract, I suppose you can only do 40 at a time, but £50 a month for a battery seems a lot if you factor in it's 12p per mile for the battery rental. That being said I'd be tempted to take one of these on my commute, would be a talking point

I think even if a smart car crashed into this you would die inside it

As long as it doesn't rain. Open at the sides. No good for British weather. I think the doors may be an optional extra. Could be wrong though, but it does look kinda fun

...And i thought a Smart car was basically like sitting in a large tin can because its so small compared to everyone else on the road...this Twizy should come with a Danger warning.

It looks like 1 of those geriatric motorised scooters with the plastic covering that elderly men run you over with on the pavement!

It says "£3,395 Cash Price". Does that you can buy it out right (+ battery rental I presume) for that?
I'd like it. For the riviera.

In this weather you'd pay about the same for the thermal clothing that you would need

You'd have a slightly better chance of survival in this than on a scooter.

It costs just shy of 7k & you still will not own the battery,no heating, group 10 insurance. Not for me Thankyou.

It's a glitzy mobility scooter

Hence why I quoted the price for leasing it for two years.

Saw one of these on the m77 into glasgow going about 50 mph.

I have a vague recollection of the mirrors being fitted to the doors, so no doors and no mirrors? Surely not?

17 BHP.

More like Shetland Ponies.

Cold, you can buy a faster bicycle for £300

Does this model come with doors?

French? No, thanks...

Stand back. That's 17 whole horsepower!

Doors are not included.

Buses have heating

So I'd park it in town, come back after a rain storm and a load of water will pour out when I open the door like in a cartoon?

No, because there aren't any doors, and someone will have tipped it over for a laugh.

That's if you don't die of shame driving it off the forecourt!

You walk on the pavement, not the road

there are no doors, youd sit on a wet seat and get laughed at by passers-by overtaking you.

This is a veryngood deal! For all Londoners who go into central everyday will know this is worth it. Good find OP

My travel card is double this price and it is zone 3-6!!!!!

I think it looks fun. But unlike everybody else commenting I don't watch Top Gear and initiate conversations with "so what you driving nowadays Nige "?. When every other car on the road looks pretty much identical and as boring as the next then hurrah for something just a bit different.

Crikey, what a bunch of tools you can run across here (not the garage type either)

Twizy is a great little vehicle if used in context as a short range run around, the gull wing doors work really well, my nipper adores the twizy, fits in the back a treat, when it rains the design pretty much keeps t all off you, & yes there is now an all weather window set available either as official or generic.
If I were in London this sort of thing would be my first choice for the times I don't want to walk places within the city, as is having test driven one they are nice little vehicles, winter weather problems? no, dress accordingly (ie not from matalan polycotton knitwear). ..I tend to wear fleeces / outdoor gear anyway, don't need cosseting.

When I get some work done on the house this is what I would have as a small vehicle, no VED, or a zoe electric for a 4 seater which would get driven mainly with one person in it, ..time to change your preconceptions dinosaurs & clarkeson believers amongst you.

Have relatives in Paris centre with a twizy, they love it, works really well.

£17/week for a vehicle with a roof you can drive into London? Remarkable. Shame about the open doors, can't see why they've done that.

they killed it............

when you ,mentioned London boroughs, I think only Westminster is the ONLY borough that provides truly free parking at their pay & display bays. for the rests, the councils only provide a very limitmed charging points (i mean...like 5 in the whole of islington)
