Apart from the price: anyone got this machine?

Nespresso machine coming to an end and thinking of making the leap to bean to cup.

Any recommendations?
My work have just had one of these unboxed in the kitchen. I don't drink coffee and we haven't actually used it yet, so cant comment on quality, but it looks good.
Seems like a machine with interesting and tempting features, but it is a consumer grade device which will be difficult and costly to repair out of warranty (and these devices are fairly complex, combining hot water, pressure, steam, moving parts and electronics). I have been very tempted but concluded that a basic Delonghi beans-to-cup is a much more rational choice for the typical household.

It’s a very good machine. The Oracle Touch (currently on offer from John Lewis for approx £1500) is essentially the same machine but with a touch screen - essentially making customisation of drinks that much easier.

The quality of drinks produced by either is probably the best you will find for domestic use without purchasing separate grinder and machine etc.

It is expensive but worth it for the self dose and tamp feature of the Oracle series.

I have both. If you’re used to slipping a pod to get a cappuccino then think twice before moving forward.

Sage make better coffee, stronger and of cafe grade.

In Nespresso you can have flavours.

Sage will make big mess, coffee powder and milk everywhere.

Thanks. I was hoping bean to cup would be less mess than separate grinder etc.

I guess i need to do some research....

I’l look into it. It’s a huge amount on money though for a coffee machine.

Thanks, i saw a post about the Delonghi here and folks seem to like it. I had a Delonghi Nespresso machine at one time and it was the worst one i have had....

You make a good point about repairs though, you would expect a machine at this cost to last a long time (or i would...)

In that the grinder and pump machine are physically connected you could technically refer to this as a bean to cup. But in all other respects you can't, because it isn't. It's the opposite.
I have been looking at the Barista Touch, it seems to be a decent machine
