As a loyal 20+ year Sainsburys shopper, I thought this was a really good deal to earn yourself extra Nectar Points for new customers.

The New Sainsbury's Nectar Credit Card .

Collect 10 Nectar points per £1 on Sainsbury's shopping for the first 3 months from account opening (capped at £1,000 spend per month).

After the first 3 months collect 4 points per £1 on Sainsbury's shopping.

One Nectar point for every £5 spent on your card elsewhere.

0% on balance transfers for the first 15 months from account opening (3% balance transfer fee applies).

0% on purchases for the first 6 months from account opening.

Seems to be a very good deal, especially if you want to ditch your Amex card due to the new introduction of the £25 annual fee.

Going cold. (_;) why ?

Could the cold voters please explain why.

This is a great deal, I spend over £1,000 each month on my Amex Nectar card, this could give me £150 in Nectar points within just 3
months.

Isn't the extra points only on Sainsburys spend - 5% cashback at sains is nice but only about the same as you get with say capital one or barclaycard cashback cards where you get that return everywhere?

I have a Sainsbury credit card and this offer did not apply to me when I tried to get it a few months ago.

10 points per pound only on Sainsburys shopping. Other shopping only gets you one point per £5 spend-pretty poor!!

Only if you spend it all in Sainsburys. That is a hefty food bill.

By the way, the Amex nectar card is going "two tier". There'll be a free card (which is the same as what all customers are on now) or you can pay £25 and get the extra advantages (more points per pound etc). That's what I was told on phone to customer services but haven't verified it myself online.

Yes! I have already changed over to the no fee Amex card, but at the same time taken-out the Sainsburys CC as above.

The Amex card is not accepted at all retailers etc, where the Sainsburys CC is.

I for one will received at least £100 in Nectar points just in first 3 months, making my normal yearly £200 cash-in at xmas now £300 by end of this year..............................

Some members obviously take advantage of the Nectar Scheme by more ways than one LOOK HERE! X)

Just for the record and to show how the Sainsburys Credit Card along with Nectar points scheme can really be a benefit for the shopper, we have just cashed in £220 worth of Nectar points (that is less than 1 year of collecting).

Well done to Sainsburys and well done to me for taking advantage of the Sainsburys Credit Card offer.
