Way too much for non-oled...
Good price. Was looking at this yesterday side by side with OLED LG C8V. Q9FN looked better with HDR content, and Blacks were just like OLED. If you purist for Movies in dark room I'd go for LG, For Standard day use and gaming definitely this one. I'm sure prices will drop quick for both though.
It will go cold but who cares it is the cheapest right now and cheaper than 2018 OLED
i saw them both and this is better

This FALD TV from Samsung throws picture accuracy out of the window for an overblown, over saturated image. Shame on Samsung for thinking they know better than the content creators.

In your opinion!
received a reference status award from av forums and got 10 out of 10. this is a very capable tv. better than oled in some respects and worse in others

The 10 out of 10 reference status from shills means nothing to me.

Crushed blacks resuting in lost shadow detail.
Blooming light bleed when views off axis.
Dimming of bright highlights to minimise blooming artefacts and the they've made the cardinal sin of disregarding industry display standards.

This TV has been tested against and outclassed by the Sony ZD9 which is a 2016 FALD TV.

I rest my case....

Yeah that's been an issue for a while now. I would say they probably can't iron it out.

Just viewed the hdtvtest review and the oled is better at blacks and shadow detail and the lg oled models are cheaper.. so my original comments still stands. Sorry it just seems to be an attempt by samsung to sell high priced tvs without using oled panels...

Sd, hd or 4k and what provided the signal? Doubtful some retailers provide the correct signal/enable the right settings on the tv.
This is a fantastic TV for the money, didn't like the LG for playing games was horrible and with the right set up this is on par with LG for movies.

Judder would put me off but few people with the lg oleds report this. In the end you have to be happy with what you buy.
