Just bought one of these as I was looking for a simple phone that my mum and sis could use.

Website blurb:
The Samsung E2100 is a user friendly, functional little handset which provides you with practical features with an inexpensive price tag! With an integrated camera and FM radio, the Samsung E2100 will keep you entertained on the move. The Samsung E2100 also has the functionality of an organiser, is WAP enabled and has amazing battery life, providing up to 250 hours of standby time. A great little phone for those on a budget!

Key Features:
Internal phone memory - 6MB
Camera (Mp) - VGA
Colour screen
Weight - 74.1g
Dimensions - 108 x 43.6 x 14.3mm
Standby time - Up to 10.4 days
Talk time - Up to 3.5 hours
Video capture
WAP Internet browser
FM radio
Music player
Bluetooth
Dual band

The website mentions FM Radio and Music player which are features I can not find, but no mention is made of bluetooth which the two phones I got certainly do have. It also has a "Fake Call" facility to simulate somone calling you to get you out of a sticky situation.

Wow, bargain!
Beats the Asda deal; better phone, delivered to your door, and £5 quidco.
Though I'd miss Orange Wednesday's, and ofcourse O2 is the demon-spawn of Satan.:x

:edit:

You can also get the Nokia 1661 on ]Vodaphone or ]Virgin for the same price.
The Nokia 1661 doesn't have a camera, but apparently does have fm radio.

:edit:

The ]Motorola WX 180 on Virgin is the same price too.

Ordered - nice spot - £6.50 cashback too

Is this likely to be locked ?

Is this likely to be locked ?

Definitely.

£6.50 cashback, from who?

how do you know it is definately locked?

wow looks good

Can the £10 credit be transferred to a pay monthly a/c?

how do you know it is definately locked?

'cos it's a give-away price on a pay as you go mobile.

More concrete proof can be provided with a simple google search; thousands of people asking how to unlock the Samsung E2100.

hot deals ordered one earlier i am surprised it has received only little heat

An email from dial-a-phone cust service.

"Thank you for your recent e-mail about your enquiry.

After investigating your query, I can confirm that the majority of our phones are locked to the network they are purchased with.

We can not confirm whether the phone you receive will be unlocked.

Sorry for any incontinence caused.

LMFAO.

That shows how the cust service standards of dialaphone are! Pants! LOL

just noticed myself and was about to post, got one for my mum

'king a*holes

Phone arrived with 'sim activated for your convenience and a 30p call made...' - funnily enough neither of which I wanted or signed up for.

So clearly not as advertised £10 credit and phone not brand new so no doubt I should be able to return it at there expense but I bet they will try to make it impossible to claim the return postage\back

They are making sure they get their commission, sneaky underhand practise, did the same to me, ignored my emails, so never used them again
Try emailing trading standards and ASA about it so they may change this practise or make it clear its not £10 credit you will get

Was it a refurb and was it unlocked then,I think it would be,most dialaphones ones are simfree no matter what they state about them being locked to a network

Nope, insult to injury was locked - seems to be some cheap/free unlocking software out there if you have a data cable...which was not supplied

Hmm,thats not so good then, you'll need to get it done in a shop and wouldn't be worth it for such a cheap phone,

You won't be able to do it free even if you had a data cable, only chance is possibly a temporary unlock with the codes but I haven't tried them on that phone

Credit where it is due - used contact us form on DAP website last Wednesday saying rejected goods under distance selling regulations as used credit not as described, no email response but on Sat received a post paid returns envelope
