Had this phone from Amazon it at £560 in my basket and i did't buy it.

Same phone as S8 or S9 you won't feel a difference will keep my s8 as i'm better off with hundreds of pounds.

Each phone needs to be used 2 or 3 years otherwise is a waste of money to always buy a new phone.

Mr Switch thanks for always posting but we all need to understand that buying a new phone each year is a waste of money.

I buy a phone wisely every 3 months, and either get my money back, or make a small profit, done wisely it let's me get some of the latest tech for no expense.

So your theory is not totally accurate of the population.

Edit: thoigh I don't recommend what I do, it's a hard process looking for the best best deals.

Anything stock Android that has these hardware specs? Fed up with Samsung's default apps

Pixel 3?
Pixel 4? Worth the extra £300?
Not Snapdragon in this country, I'd avoid Galaxies.
Good price heat added

Um....... With that terrible camera array, I'd say no, though the wide angle may be a game changer for some!

You are in the 0.1% of the population who can get it right which is why we look to you for advice. But for the vast majority, and for most applications, a phone is not required to be upgraded even every 2 years.
Yes got S8 cracking phone but looking at these Exynos powered Samsungs I'm not too impressed.
Seem to be lot slower then the snapdragon versions.

No completely understand that, and I'm not telling anyone to buy every 3 months, because it may not go right, and you may end up losing money hand over fist.

People reading this, a phone is for life, not just for Xmas

Disagree.
Its much better than s8+
Better processor, more ram, better camera, better battery

Plus my 2.5year old s8+ is showing its age. Battery life is rubbish and the anti smudge slick coating has long worn away. It also gets slower with every monthly update.

Yes finding same on my S8 charging it 2 times a day and it's standard use I'm not a heavy user by any stretch, and 100 agree with coating thing, thought it was just me.
The phone screen gets sticky as hell and also the finger print sensor is terrible have to re register my print ever few months as it keeps failing to read it and sooooo slow. Had it 2 years in September, love the camera but rest is poor.

Let's all stop spending so much time and money looking into the useless 8 cm phone screens and just enjoy life outside.
We are all getting blocked on different apps to watch useless stuff and we forget what is really important.

It was much better before and more relaxing when we were watching TV all day and playing amazing games on computer without paying extra money on it for add ons and packs as per smartphone games now.
We used to use phone just for calling people and was much better like that.

Buying phones every 3 months is a waste of energy. It's just a phone not an intergalactic space ship.

Very profound

Buying a smartphone is what I like to do, I'm into tech, I also spend lots and lots of my time with my wife and 2 kids.

I think you have a skewed view on life!

I live on the coast spend most my waking hours on the beach, (especially this time of year) with my wife and kids weather permitting ....
But strangely have to work and return back to the house on the odd occasion phone comes in handy funny enough .
What a odd statement this is?

Replace battery, factory reset. Even anti-smudge coating could be found somewhere.

Many S7s running strong out there...

Though obviously this is in another league, passing of time in tech shows clearly

Easier said than done.

Saying that, my other half has a S7 edge which was smashed up - sent to Nationwide insurance and it came back like new - Think they replaced battery too as its better than mine now

My s8 + is still going strong, no lag /sluggishness on my end. Battery life has decreased over the years, lasting me a day of reasonable usage. I would have to recharge every night. Other than that, the phone is superb! I'll probably upgrade to the note 10 early next year when the price drops.

Come on mate. People waste money on anything. I had the S8, it was sluggish and had a slow camera. I also had the note 9. Now I have this phone and it's worth the upgrade because it improves in everything.

If it's sluggish it needs a factory reset works just fine and has 2k display. Don't see the reason of spending 500-800 on the same thing.
Oh wait it can charge in reverse. Very useful so i can never use it:)
I had the s8 and I agree, the S10 is so much faster. The s8 lagged loads

I got a pristine used Galaxy 10+ from music magpie for £560 recently. I upgraded from the S8 and I think there’s a huge difference. The S8 has a good camera, but the S10+ is on another level - it’s not even remotely close. I’m personally very happy with the change.
Dave_c04/08/2019 22:46

odd, don't think I've ever had my S8 lag unless android had stalled on something, you sure its not just a placebo effect of having "new" technology?

Only thing that annoys me about the S8 is the battery, but then I see S10 isn't THAT much better either. Seems the one area Samsung aren't particular bothered about as long as it lasts the day.

Ran them side by side for a while and although the s8 didn't feel bad on its own after moving on to the S10 the difference felt massive.

Agree with you on the s8 battery it wasn't the best, the S10 lasts alot longer for me I never charge it during the day now but did with the s8. S10+ will be the way to go for battery life though.
Bought one that arrived today from Ebuyer, badly packed, brand new seal broken on phone box, phone does seem new, I am awaiting an answer from their customer services at the moment but they are very slow responding between calls and emails I have made.
I am starting to suspect the reason the price is cheap is that these are open box returns from customers but I could be wrong. Not what I expect on something so expesnive.
