This was £250 and it's now £150 on the Comet eBay store. For what it is, it is worth it. Im tempted myself actually

No it's not 3D and no it's not ultrathin but then you're not spending £600 on this thing

The warranty will be held by Samsung and not Comet afaik

You can also get cashback as well via quidco/tcb

The one on eBay has a USB port so good if you want to add an external device to it, has a TV tuner and uses more power (max 45W)

The one on Amazon has no USB port, doesn't have a TV function and uses less power(max 29W). If you don't want the TV function I'd get the larger one from Amazon at a slightly cheaper price

Im banking on the TV using 35W and the monitor using 22W if it's any thing like my current TV (Max 70W; average 53.5W)

The listing has been changed to exclude mention of the Pause/Record function so can you confirm it can't do that?

I believe the claim that it can act as a PC monitor is only valid if one's PC has HDMI output as there isn't a VGA socket - is that true?

I can't comment on the pause/record function because Im at uni and the aerial isn't working. Im not paying for the license so Im not complaining

The second point, I found that bit quite annoying though Samsung give you a DVI-I Single Link>HDMI and Im thinking that an image may transfer from a laptop/netbook device if you connect by using a VGA>DVI-I Single Link and connecting that to the DVI-I>HDMI converter.

If that works then all is well. If not, then it gets slightly annoying that this can't connect to a computer device

Oh I was also close to my calculations. Initially, the TV was using 24W but with some tweaking, I got it down to 22W and then 17.5W so it saves me power and more importantly money

You can no longer get this TV, but it is available in other places. I think this should do the trick to let you view an image on the TV

ebay.co.uk/itm…36f

(c&p in to URL bar) I think that should work considering VGA and scart connections are both analogue signals
