and possibly photography

Good price though for a new car and quite decent looking too!

Only 5 colours available, 4 of them are cost options. White is the only free colour.
the 1.4L engine is the old 85bhp non-TSI one. The main seat website doesn't go into much details of performance and mpg. All it says is that its:
1.4 85PS - 139 g/km CO2
but the whatcar review is here: Whatcar review

Looks good

Can't go wrong here, Volkswagen

MPG?

oooh ... nice price ! Anyone seen any 4-door offers ?

Shame this is the SC and not the 5DR otherwise would have been all over it!

1.4L engine is the old 85bhp non-TSI . So its mean reliable, cheap parts , and no problem at all.

I still think 85HP is a bit slow for this day and age, it is the 21st century after all

If anyone is interested in the tech spec.

1.4 85PS - 139 g/km CO2

combined mpg 47.9

And Volkswagen over priced as well.

Expect 40-45mpg, nice looking motor.

Over priced?

Are there many other cars of this size and spec for £9k or less, that look this good?

good deal considering i was briefly looking at fiestas yesterday and they were 15K for an average looking one!

Peugeot 207 Oxygo? 1.6HDi 99g/Co2.

Personal preference is always the key here.

Yep, that would be my only stumbling block too. I've got too used to cars with rear doors.

Is it pronounced "tossa"?

Nice that. Voted hawt.

£15k got me brand new Zetec S top spec model, you should get the equivalent 1.2 for £11k...

Looks alright. Slow as hell and only 3 doors. Need a decent 5 door for <£10k, family outgrowing the IQ and Mr2 roadster, but want to keep both.

Very good deal, lot of car for the money and some good options. Assuming it's the MPI engine hence the low price, road tax must be around £130/yr?

Skoda Rapid? I got a pre-reg one for £10k, huge boot, spacious and nice engine. Because Skoda messed up the launch (in November before the new Occy came out) there's some bargains to be had.

Ouch, that's almost knocking on ST prices.

Cracking little cars. The Mrs has a 1.6TDI sport and I love the look of it, plus drives well. Bargain

Had the misfortune of getting this once as a hire car in Europe. Was brand new but awful.

Great car and a great price.
The 1.4 85bhp is a little underpowered though if you're used to something with a bit more get up and go. And be carefull about running costs, especially the 4 year service.

All in all though I'd have another Seat without question. Well built and well spec'd for a good price.

Perhaps they should supply MP's with them

The 1.2 and 1.4 Engines in both fuel variants are extremely loud so be warned. The wind noise at 70 and above is also wearing.

Other than that they are fine

Seat are great cars had my Altea for 6 years now. Never missed a beat!!

Thats great value for a car with sat nav and a few toys, its basically a polo with a different body.

Maybe we were just unlucky, but we had nothing but trouble with our Altea. EGR valve was replaced twice, cruise control stopped working, random warning lights on dashboard, this is just a few of the faults. Glad to get rid to be honest.

I'll agree it looks good, but £9000-00 for a tiny car?????

It's French though so the electrics won't work, the wheels will fall off and there will be an onion in the exhaust.

That and you can't buy a new one as they don't build them anymore. DPF/FAP too.
