I've been driving a leased automatic Kamiq for the past 18 months and, apart from it being too small for my liking, it's been a stonkingly good car. I'm waiting for the naysayers to moan about it being a 1lt 3 cylinder engine ... but until you've driven one, don't say anything! Of course it's not going to beat other cars off the line or do 150mph but if you want a small, reliable, comfortable and practical family car, a Kamiq is a good choice.

All the three cylinder cars we test drove were nippy, but all were noisier as they had to work harder. As a result, given time, something has to give. Other than Qashqai, what other similar cars have 4 cylinders?

I have one. I find that it gets me from where I am to where I want to be.

Does it have the umbrella in the door? That's a deal breaker in my selection of automobiles these days.....and the ticket clip on the windscreen.

Had a Kamiq 1.5 se drive and it was lovely. Only sold as I needed a car to tow a caravan. The S is not as well kitted out as it’s the base model.

I just think these 1.0 tsi are unpowered for larger cars. I had 1 in an Octavia for a couple of years. The dsg auto are probably better as you won't be constantly changing gear.

I wouldn't want to own 1 second hand, how much strain those little engines must have put through them.

New or lease is sensible choice.
