Could you buy this deal then take the game back the next day and get a refund? If so this would be sweet and does anyone know if this is nationwide?

Wow you just made this deal more interesting. :whistling:

Can't see sainsburys falling for that one. They'd probably insist on you bringing the console back too, unopened.

Sainsburys chart games are all over £40, so not that great a deal, compared to the blockbusters one with batman,

Im guessing you didnt look at the photo as you can see mini ninjas is £29.99 NOT £40 like you have just stated.

The lowest price game I could see was £29.99 ... so this effectively equals £250 including a game

Given the PS3 "fatboys" and a game are selling for around £200, I don;t see this as too hot?

I work there - and I'm pretty sure it will just depend on the person you're taking it back to.
Most people I know would accept the return of the game.
Guess it depends whether they've been told about this deal or not.

So tempting with staff discount too 8-)

It is hot if someone can confirm Sainsbury's would refund the game!

Yeah but won't they see the deal on the receipt?

I saw the deal myself in Sainsbury yesterday so it must be nationwide

Or you could take the game back and get an exchange, so you'll get a new receipt... then go back to a third brach and try and return it there.

Say you bought Game A with the console. Day two you exchanged Game A for Game B. Third day... take Game B and ask for a refund.

LoozR;6287571

Possibly - but whether they'll take note of it is another thing.
Most people working on the customer service desk don't pay attention to things like that (well certainly at my store -bristol) -and combine that with an excuse like you bought console for you and game as a present for someone else but they already had it!?
I'd say that'd definitely work at my store, don't know about others though.
If someone buys this they'll have to try it for us

Fair enough, but I'd rather have batman, than mini ninjas.

And your reason?

Seems like an alright deal, Game and Gamestation are £274.99 for the Slim with any game so this deal certainly beats that.

Still, i'd go for the deal they have on the old PS3 instead, £219.99 with Ghostbusters and Little Big Planet.

Wow, thats desperate!! Then you would have a PS3 with no games...brilliant fun.

I have to agree with the ( I presume ) minority
and say it's not a hot deal. Unless you actually want Mini Ninjas
and/or can get staff discount there are better deals to be had, sorry op

Hot if you've got staff discount. Otherwise its £260 with a game (£250 with mini ninjas). Nice to see a variety of deals though but for me this one is lukewarm (and voted accordingly)

ps Returning the game misses the point unless you are using it solely as a blu ray player (in which case you can pick these up for sub £100) so pick a good un like Batman AA

They had Call of Juarez for £25 in Burpham store (and some other cheaper games I forgot) making the deal £245. I was almost tempted

This may change the value of the deal.......
Can anyone confirm all of the top 18?

hmmm...still holding my 15,000 nectar points :-D

Well you could use the PS3 as your DVD player (unless it does something special?). If you can cope with Freeview instead of Freesat, you could get PlayTV to replace the PVR. And depending on what the PC does (play DivXs?) your PS3 could do that too.

You only need to pick one of those though, and replacing the DVD player is probably easiest.

Maybe he could marry the PS3 and get rid of his wife as well. Is it a good shag?

Welcome to HUKD "rprince" and congrats
on your first post............

( I am sure it was very useful info for shrek )

Shouldn't the price in the title be £249.98? - or £259.98 if you don't want mini ninja's?

I thought you had to put the full price including postage, etc in the title - not just discount it on the basis of being able to pull a fast one and return a game?

Correct hence cold.

Doesn't seem to be available any more...at least not in Cheshire Oaks tonight.
