I am still not sure whether to buy this or the LITE.

Honestly wouldn’t bother with the lite! I have the older Switch and you’ll regret not being able to plug in.
Zelda was made for a big tv!!

Knock another £150 off and i may buy one of these one day.

By the time you wait 2 years for this to become £110 the next console will be on the horizon. Then you’ll want to wait again for when that drops, you’ll complain about the price and wait for the price drop. Before you know it, you’ve spent years waiting without any enjoyment.

Waiting is a never ending solution as you lose out on the pleasures of life for the sake of a few quid.
Although I think the Switch is a great use of old Nvidia tech I can't for the life of me get my head around the extortionate pricing.

I did that last week. Makes this deal even better. Got Mario Odyssey for £20 extra. Bargain.

Spot on. I had the same thought process with OLED TV. Finally dropped to a price I wanted (£999) and I'm thinking hmmmm should I wait a bit and wait for it to drop further. (The fact my old TV packed in and JL offered a refund, and I only had to put a bit in towards helped) But as I didn't wait around I went for it. So glad I did. As you say make the most of the opportunity to play with latest tech, and stop worrying about 'whats next'.

I won't be buying a switch period as i have a U and all the first party Ninty games that i want via i nintendo console system, so the switch has nothing to offer me, but for £99 i would take one just for the curiosity factor and to mod to become a portable emulator, but apart from that the system is of no use to me otherwise.

Can’t take your wii u on the go though! I have a wii u as well and held off getting a switch for ages, especially when Zelda was released on the Wii U. I caved in Feb and play it so much more than my Wii U which never got a look in.
With new Zelda, Pokemon and Luigi’s Mansion 3 all out before the end of the year, I’m so glad I’ve got one!

They wanted to refund the console and put it all through again, I said I didn’t have enough money to pay for the console twice while waiting on a refund so they refunded to a gift card and did it that way

What did you say to the staff? That you had seen the offer after you had paid, and could they add it?

Exactly that yes
^^I don't game outside the house or on the go so the Switch is of no use to me, but as a cheap £99 modded emulator i would take one, might be fun to stick Amiga forever onto one and enjoy some Supercars II or Stunt car racer.

Can’t believe none of the new releases are tempting you! I was gonna bite after launch for Mario Odyssey till I realised how ridiculous I was being!
To be fair, mine has left the house once since Feb when I went on holiday and used it for long flights.

Two questions:

1. How big is that TV?

2. What you doing with the old Switch? Selling it?

^^Apart from Mario Oddessy which does look intresting, but not enough to buy the console, i already have, off tthe top of my head on the U, MK8, MM, M BrosU, DKTF, Nintendoland, BOTW, Pikmen 3, Wind walker, SM3D, Wondeful 101, ZombieU, all sitting in a cupboard, and i most certainly am not paying Ninty £300 to play MK8 again on the toilet. lol

2 hours longer battery life, give it a year then it will turn into the regular switch battery.

I think it’s 50 or 55” and the old Switch is on its way back to Music Magpie for a refund as one of the joycons is drifting and they’ve agreed a full refund. It’s costing £36 to get the new improved one
Finally taking the plunge after watching deals come and go for about 12 months

What’s five inches between friends?
I am tempted to sell my V1 I bought last month for this.

The lack of heat in the console is my basis for this...
Anyone having issues paying with paypal etc? I cant seem to get my purchase to go through
Also I think this has sold out now. On the app if you scroll down it says 0 available sadly, just as I tried to pay for it!
Yes, same for me.
I bought the new version last week with the 10% code and im glad i bought it rather than the older model and lite, as its so much better on the big screen and for 50 quid extra with the extended battery life it is def worth it
Most overrated and pricey console of the market! Not an Nintendo hater, it is just my opinion.

Fire emblem three houses, xenoblade chronicles 2, smash ultimate, astral chain, mario maker 2, octopath traveller, daemon x machina, yoshis crafted world, kirby star allies with zelda, pokemon, luigis mansion 3, animal crossing out soon.

Not to mention I use also use it tons for indie games and rpgs I have / could get on pc or ps4 because I just find having the option to play portable really fun and immersive with certain games. For example tales of vesperia, disgaea, Ys viii, okami, valkyria chronicles and stardew valley, enter the gungeon, shovel knight, hollow knight, golf story, worms, etc.
Just FYI (as a bit of a gripe) - this does *not* have an improved battery. The battery is the same as the first iteration of the Switch.

The improvement is that the SOC is using a newer process (20nm -> 16nm) which makes it significantly more efficient, which is why both the new Lite and the new Switch are a lot lighter on battery usage.

DigitalFoundry did a good video on it. There's more benefits than just the battery lasting longer, and it's possible that if you're ever able to homebrew in the future it might be a little more tolerant of overclocking.

Are these patched?
How good is this new Zelda?
The last one I played was on the SNES lol. Ive got a Wii I hardly ever use and didn't bother with the U. I fancy a Switch though.

Have a look on YouTube at gameplay, it’s the first to blow me away since Ocarina and I loved wind waker. I got it on Wii U and it was one of the first games I got on Switch too

Good deal but no P&P to Ireland is a bit of a balls.

Just use either An Post's AddressPal for €3.95 or ParcelMotel/ParcelWizard for €3.95/€3.85. Still a huge saving when you factor in these RRP for €329.99 in Éire!
Sold out it seems...

Just get an Nvidia shield then which does emulation plus loads of other benefits... Otherwise you're just wasting money as it's of no use to you.

Thanks for mentioning the pending releases.

My son is after a switch and desperate for Pokemon. Looks like I’m going to brave it out and see if we get a themed switch in November with Pokemon included.

That's literally the point of this deal, it's app-only, as mentioned explicitly in the deal title.

Best game on the switch. Get it
Still feels over priced. The games are never reduced too even tho they've been out for ages or they are ports that are cheaper on consoles. I really want one but I think I'll regret it...
Gone back up in price?
