Look for the dropped forged items, some in this range are utterly tripe like the screwdriver bit pieces.

Aww shame I can only vouch for the spanner set I've just bought which is pretty decent

ah yes near the Charlie Dimock ' Look no Bra Range' undies and Alan Titchmarsh Flower Seeds Range, Poundland are creating value brands for themselves!!

Oh dear, looks like poor old Tommy has hit a hard patch and given his name to what used to be their 'tool box' range. Same old 'use once and throw away' tools.

I am pretty sure the spanner on my bike set broke after one use. still was good value for that one use. rent a tool!

look remarkably similar to the 'rolson' range

I agree some of the products look like their previous range but until now I haven't seen as many tools in their range and so far I am happy, for £1 worth it

The screwdriver set cams out just by looking at it. Still, for disposable tools they serve their purpose and are good for sacrificial use (ie: giving to your useless brother-in-law. Not sacrificing him)

Thank and thanks for trying to help

well we all know what is next then Charlie Dimmock or Alan Titchmarsh for the garden range next year. Seen in store yesterday 90% is still the same as before. Just a way for them to try and boost sales.

"The launch follows recent research* which found only 17 per cent of people knew how to hang a picture* and less than one in ten knew how to rewire a plug. In response to the shocking statistics",............ :D...... Shocking truly shocking.......Tommy's a lad though he knows is onions....

They've done studies, you know. Sixty percent of the time, it works..every time.

All that proves is 87% of people are idiots. The rest are highly trained idiots.

You are right, about 90% is still the same stuff. I did notice however that the three different padlocks are now much bigger and the compartment organiser boxes look to be better quality.
Edit: I thought that the new range brought in a lot of new stuff, until I click on one of the links above and saw a press release from Nov 2013 about a 'Red Route' range of items which are exactly the same as the Tommy Walsh stuff my local has now got!

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

From staring in Ground Force to having his own range in one of the most successful shops in the country, I wouldn't consider that a fall.

I like Tommy too but I'm sure watching Charlie's "dimmocks" was more interesting than watching the riveting sight of a guy dismantling a sink waste pipe as in his current programme.

So there's a picture of Tommy with his combination Makita Drill / Driver. Now he could have bought a cheap crap one, instead he uses proper tools when you see him on Telly. Can you imagine for 1 minute a professional using Poundland tools?

So far I've used the paintbrushes, white gloss, black gloss, white wood primer, fencing paint, sanding blocks and sanding paper the only thing I didn't like was the sanding blocks. My favourite was the White gloss - my windowsills look great and it was very easy to apply
