This 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine is our pick of the range. It doesn’t cost all that much more than the entry-level engine but is much smoother and gives you plenty of extra shove, sprinting from 0-62mph in 8.6sec. Spend a bit more and get the cleaner more mpg 2.0 litre diesel engine model, it will be much cheaper to run and simpler to service and will last twice as long, it will also retain a much better resale value.

It is 4 cylinder.

Agree I like VW but theses really look tacky and cheap, especially from behind with that fake exhaust outlets! And don’t get me on about the interior dash - no soft feel now just hard plastic like 1970 Cortina. (edited)
