CD player oh dear!

For people who like their music to sound like it was meant to, and not some compressed noise.
"Hey, do we need to take a photo of it driving along a rugged road?"

"Nah, just Photoshop it in."

"I only have a photo from the side and the road is head on."

"Never mind, people will think it's a power slide."

Even the shadow is terrible

I can't put it on my fridge. It might damage it and as I lease it, like all depreciating assets, it needs to be in good nick.

Old man's car but really well built hot
Great price, but i have the D2 version in the non cross country version, and its been non stop problems with the engine, with a still outstanding recall that Volvo dont know how to solve.

Volvo VS VW

This thread has everything.
Good saving but not a car for my liking. It just does look nice!
This car is excellent. I have a 2014 V40 and it's the most comfortable car I've ever had. Getting a bit older I have a bad back and this car is great for it.

What happens when electric lease deals cost less than I spend on petrol. …What happens when electric lease deals cost less than I spend on petrol. Dun Dun Dunnnnnn. Nice price, fugly car.

What electric car do you have that doesn't look worse than this car? Agreed this is not a good looking car, but when compared to a Leaf or an i3 it's a beauty queen.
A new V40 is on the way - hence the good deals available on the V40 now. It's an old car, with dated infotainment system, but still a solid choice if that doesn't bother you.

Is this a serious question? Every Tesla.. the Audi e Tron, anything from the new BMW lineup. Hell even the Hyundai iconiq looks better than this and is cheap as chips.

The V40 isn't being replaced, the XC40 is the smallest Volvo will offer

I have a V40 D4 R-Design, brilliant car, and test drove the new S60 last week and the new design style is fab

This is a good deal

Yeah you're right - it reminds me a 90s estate with plenty of functional space in a compact package. Instead of the modern "compact SUV" which is basically a jacked up hatchback, offers less usable space than an estate despite being bigger, has poor handling due to its high centre of gravity and yet doesn't actually have 4WD like a real SUV
Interior is looking seriously outdated

Yeah. You missed the EV part. This thread is a keeper.
In Volvo's current brochure, there isn't the option of a Cross Country with D2 engine, only a D3 engine. So not sure where these are from or are they old car stock.

My opinion is that the Tesla's are not good looking cars. They're just not as awfully designed as most of these cars. Although we can set them aside with the Audi and Jag as being unaffordable for most.

I'll give you Hyundai iconiq EV. It isn't an ugly car, but it's a rubbish car for £30k.

It's getting better all the time, that Hyundai that I wasn't aware of the existence of until now is proof of that. But we aren't there yet. Electric cars are still not reasonable alternatives for most people.

The only reasonable alternative to my £40k diesel estate is a £80+k Tesla X, an e-tron. You would not catch me dead in a Hyundai or a Kia, frankly.

You wouldn't be seen in a Kia stinger 3.3 ;(? You can blitz it around for 7 years! Haha. Fair comments.
I think the image is of the one upgraded...stock one doesn't have xenon, that kind of mirrors, trims etc..I had added 'some" extras..£26.000

In a diesel with wind and road noise. This isn't an audiophile home stereo setup or bentley with 3272 speakers high-end audio, stop pretending you can hear a difference between a CD and even 128k MP3 in a car like this.

Fun fact - the compression methods the top streaming services use has been proven to be no different to the majority of human ears than cd’s! So if you can tell the difference then good for you. But us 99% can’t

I'm going to have to do the same thing again and admit that I had no idea of the existence of the stinger. Just had a read up, what an awesome direction for Kia to be moving in. That is a properly desirable car.

Poor deal... £16k and then you have to own it... lease, lease, lease

Yea, and when you have owned it for three years, you will still have a nice car to sell and get a large chunk of money towards a replacement.
What will you have at the end of your lease?
I had Focus Estate & recently started driving Honda Civic Tourer. Had opportunity to drive this for a while through work. Sound car in many respects and if circumstances allowed, would consider buying at this price (regardless of years it has been available to date)

Bet you a grand that in a blind test you can't reliably distinguish FLAC from CD. Or most likely 320kbps from FLAC.
