Cold for Mix 3. Buy Mi9 for little more with Snapdragon 855. Vastly superior to snapdragon 845 with better WiFi 6, better graphics, better modem and less power consumption so saves battery. Hot for Honor 10 at this price

3 good choices
Honor 10 for £249
Dang it, I paid £366 shipped from Ebuyer 3 days ago for the Mix 3! Amazing phone though, quite a few improvements over the already spectacular Mi Mix 2 I had for almost 2 years...

Edit: Oh, wait I used the £25 M&S gift card deal, so I sort of come out ahead... Would probably prefer £345 over £366-£25 M&S though, as I don't really shop at M&S... If you do shop at M&S, maybe that is still of interest...

But also more money! If your on a budget then this is unhelpful. Might as well asvise them to buy an iPhone XSfor all the good it is to them
Why do people say "You can have X for more money"? I can have an Aston Martin if I paid more than I did for my car

Because some people, namely a certain person on here, don't live in the real world, money is no object to Sam clearly

No I would advice Xiomi 8, Poccophone or Honor 10 with Snapdragon 845 on a budget. It is if you are spending this money than why not get Snapdragon 855 in Mi9

Because this is from a UK retailer (although their eBay shop) so will have UK guarantee/warranty. Ebuyer are a Xiaomi partner here. The cheapest I've seen the Mi9 is £380 from China/Hong Kong so no warranty and possible customs charges on top. If your on a budget then that extra has to be factored in meaning the initial purchase price would potentially be lower (depending on how much your gambling) which all means that your advised option is out of reach!!

Btw, in case you missed it the iPhone suggestion was sarcasm!

I like your avatar, but you are missing some points. Apart from the obvious, which is the much different price, the first reason I could not get the Mi 9 is that it lacks a bunch of LTE bands that I need. E.g. I will be in the US for a conference in June and I want to be able to use a T-Mobile Tourist Plan as I usually do, and most phones are pretty useless on such a network, including Xiaomi - except their Mix line (but not the upcoming 5G). I don't want to have to pull out an iPhone while there! The second reason is that even if it is the smallest possible, I have still vowed never to get a phone with a notch. I may be oversensitive as a software developer, I don't know, it's just something I won't do. So, yeah, I'd probably wait for the Mi Mix 3 5G which has all the advantages of the Mi 9 plus no notch etc, but it does not have the network support of the non-5G version.

Mi 9 also has in-display fingerprint scanner, whereas Mi Mix 3 has fingerprint on back of phone. But Mi 9 is an ugly boring phone with a notch. Wait until next month for Mi Mix 3 5G which has the 855 chip too.

I like my mi 9 and I think it's better
mi mix 3 5G still has rear fingerprint and eventually will have problems with its slider

The Mi Mix 3 5G also adds a bigger battery! It's a shame they added 5G but removed a bunch of LTE bands (like B12 and B66 required for the US) - I'd go for that otherwise

Mrsswitch - I need your professional opinion!! Budget of around £200 but can stretch to say £230 etc. Honor 10 Lite, Pocophone, Honor 8x, anything else? What would you recommend. Only for the wife so main uses are social media apps and web browsing. Thanks my friend.

Out of those three the pocophone, maybe also consider the Samsung A50, though you'd have to get it from eglobal on your budget, maybe the honor play from argos for £199, excellent phone with last years flagship processor from Huawei.

Your personal experience of eglobal?

Two very easy transaction with two smartphones, currently waiting on my third to arrive.

Both came within 10 days, however don't expect much in the way of communication, and sometimes they advertise stock that isn't actually in stock, I'd message them beforehand to ask.
