New York from Belfast/Edinburgh from £173.30 return (Inc NYE) Norwegian Air

Found 25th May
Been checking flights to new York for months now and just refreshed to find an offer that i have not had emailed by Norwegian.
I think this is a heads up for a deal they have not emailed out yet.

The advertise it on their website as USA from £99 but its actually £99 out and £74.30 home.

There are limited seats on each route as ca
n be sen in the link:

norwegian.com/UK/…A99

I have just checked the Belfast-NY route and every single flight for the whole year is currently at this price and I Just booked 2 flights for New Years Eve.

It is New York-Newburgh-Stewart and I know some wont like that but there is a shuttle now and at this price I think it's worth the extra drive.

Last time I only found out when the email came and the flights went in and hour for NYE, this time I beat the email & I think they will go fast once Norwegian email this out.

Great price from Belfast usually everyone goes to Dublin for flights us from here

Dublin much quicker as they do USA clearance

good deal.

Even cheaper - e.g. Edinburgh to NY in August is £162.10 return.

New York-Newburgh-Stewart airport seems like a pain to get to/from though.

Edinburgh even cheaper.
The American arm of Megabus is starting a "shuttle" from the Port Authoirity bus terminal to Stewart airport beginning in June. At $40 return, this will make it much easier to get to. However the flight back to Edinburgh is at 2300, but the bus departs New York at 1700 - meaning you're in the airport 4+ hours. Eurgh.
Nonetheless, super bargain if you strapped for cash and want to see one of the worlds great cities.

Thanks for the heads up I've just booked for August, there looks to be loads of availability

There is. Booked for August from Edinburgh and it's £146 return. Wife will be happy for a long weekend to likely do more shopping.

I'm really tempted by the Edinburgh one for New Years but you land at 7 so I doubt Id get through customs then to Times Square for new year. Cracking deal though

Thanks for the heads up, also on the "megabus" deal.

Going to have a very happy daughter

Guess we're going to New York! Thanks! This site ... costs me a fortune

They're looking to charge £20 for seat reservation each way so for us 5 that would be £200! I really need to be seated with the kids - should I cough up or should it be fine?

Gutted as paid £222 on Monday and now £162

You need to be in Time Square from 3 PM
By 7 PM it will start to be cut off by police and you wont get in, you cant even leave for the toilet once in, you need a good bladder (or a bottle lol).

You wouldn't want a car in NY or Boston - where do you want to go for sightseeing?

When you arrive at the airport you can just ask for seats together. If you arrive 2 or 3 hours before departure it should not be a problem at all.

At the end of the day its a budget airline, if you want all those things Its best to go BA and pay the extra for all those items.
Last flight I flew with them, I was impressed to discover they have free WiFi throughout the flight, I have never had free WiFi on any other flight, I've only seen it as a pay service before.

Its easy to take your own entertainment to cover a 7 hour flight these days and honestly my entertainment will be better than anything on an in-flight system.

I am sorry but I have to disagree. I have went with Norwegian a few times and think they are excellent. They have free on-board WiFi which was excellent while flying and I could talk to my friends on Facebook and even checked out for deals on HUKD. There was far more legroom that either Easyjet or Ryanair and the cabin crew were all very nice. Not sure about the food as we always take our own food on with us. We are booked to go to NYC in Jan with them from Edinburgh, We are going 5 days to NYC then 9 days to Orlando before heading back to Edinburgh.

Maybe you should have done that before flying with them?

Comments like this really wind me up you could have easily researched the plane they would use for your route before booking to check on thinks like in flight entertainment, and seat pitch. I know I did and flew with them from Gatwick to New York on the dream liner and they were fantastic.
Free in flight entertainment, loads of room, friendly staff, and all at a price much lower than the big airlines.

No complaints from me

Whilst I'm dreading the flight (the 737Max is apparently a new plane with no 1st class and no in board flight entertainment) the alternative is to drive from Belfast to Dublin and pay £2,000 more for a family of 5 on Aer Lingus. So I'm massively grateful for the price.
