hot for the deal but coooold for the weather at the mo in the states

£533 now

Great deal - A shame there isn't as good a deal from Manchester.

The prices seem to fluctuate all over the place every time something reloads, but it looks like there's a Quidco £15 cashback available on it, so there's a bit more to have there.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn on 57 last year, really nice hotel if anyone is thinking of doing this deal. Easy to get around as well.

Well it is not really a beach holiday is it?

Yes, what a magical time to go.
Summer is too hot in my opinion in NY, smelly, busy stressful.

Winter and a frozen crispy central park is amazing.
A lot quieter as well.

Enjoy!

hmmm have agree to disagree would understand it being great if there was more than a light dusting of snow but it just appears to be chuffing cold at the mo.

i usually go to NY between may and aug and I agree it can be super hot, esp aug, but i dont mind it.

I went for thanksgiving/my 40th 2 years ago and ive never been so cold in my life but horses for courses and all that!

ive just got back from NY. savagely cold when its windy but certainly doesnt ruin the experience

Good price, just wished it was June Been before when it's cold and it's too bloody cold! Couldn't chill out in Central Park because it was so cold we just wanted to go inside somewhere warm. Went in June last year and it was perfect Apparently July/Aug becomes a bit unbearable.

ive been 3 times at the end of aug and although its hot its not unbearable however heading into the subway in that heat is like decending into hell, thankfully the carriages are air conned but the platforms are crazy hot

Manchester direct to Newark return price £525 per adult flying 19/03-23/03 on united airlines website

I find it makes the opening of the carriage doors that little bit more exciting, the anticipation of being hit by the cold air after waiting in that heat

sounds like you're one of the smelly people then. shots.

want to go in June from Bhx - very expensive

thanks op. wanting to go back again. seriously considering this.

Went in March last year although it was quite cold 8 - 10 degrees this didn't spoil the enjoyment.Great time for sightseeing as not too busy definitely thinking of doing this again as we went with BA last time.

I was looking at this hotel for my stay in May and hotel is approx £150 per night including taxes.

Made several visits in March for either St pats or March madness Basketball, only returned from DC and the Carlolinas via JFK last week and it was chuffing cold, wrap up well and you have all the bases covered but be warned when it gets the chill factor added in then no matter what price it is hard to really enjoy.

Just came back from NY and was there for 9 days. Whilst it's cold, if you're well layered then it's fine. Only pain is taking coats on and off every time you enter a shop (first world problems, eh).

Had some great food there, a few suggestions below:-
Totto Ramen - about £7/8 for a bowl of ramen which was amongst the best things I've ever eaten.
ShakeShack - Great burgers - about £7/8.
Halal Brothers - again about £7/8 - they operate a street unit towards FAO Scwharz and do a fantastic chicken shwarma/gyro (beef) take away.
The Herald - bistro down towards Macy's - superb bistro food, great range of beers, outstanding service.

Katz deli was good but I didn't eat for the rest of the day once I'd had lunch there so don't plan to do that and an evening meal on the same day.

That's well expensive I think!

I know there's no hotel included but I just bagged 2 x returns to Newark in late November from Leeds Bradford direct with Jet2 for £440 each

New York, New York, aaaaaaaaaaaaah

What is your point, cold weather is irrelevant if going on a city break? The cold weather in the NY right now is extreme and a serious consideration when spending £500 or more on a trip. It wouldn't stop me, but certainly know some who would be put off.

That's well expensive I think!

For New York it is not!

I've just got back myself. I'm tempted at this price! The cold didn't bother me, just wrap up well and get a decent North Face coat and you're all good.

Have you tried Icelandair? Having a quick look at their fares in June from Birmingham you can get a return between £400 - £450. Sure you have to change at Reykjavik but the stopover is usually only a few hours.

That is a deal, love to go but used all my holiday allowance this year (work year that is).

As for the cold, lovely, get to feel a proper winter. Last time I went to NY was in early June and it was 100F and silly humidity, horrible.

Do u still need 6 months left on your passport to fly to the states?

anyone going to NYC dont get a taxi to Manhattan it cost a small fortune in comparison to getting the train

get the airtrain (in the airport) to jamaica street then the Lirr straight into manhattan with one or in our case no stops depending which train you get it also runs 24/7

el scorchio! Want to go next year, hope this is as cheap then!

Yep

I think it's -8 there currently ! We booked last summer for this Easter and fly out in six weeks time ! Can't wait ! We got the same price too. I wouldn't fly out to -8 seeing as your visiting outdoor places and walking around most days.. I bet it's great though when it's abit warmer

P.s if anyone is seriously thinking of booking NYC and on a budget try the Verve in LIC , two stops to Manhattan and right next to a subway. Breakfast included too

No, you don't. If you hold a UK passport, then it only has to be valid for the duration of your stay. This is confirmed on the US Embassy website. I also travelled to Florida last month with a passport expiring at the beginning of June. Immigration didn't bat an eyelid.

For those considering this deal, just bear in mind that the flights are operated by American Airlines, and their service is a little simpler than British Airways.

Very good indeed. Nyc is all about walking. We did a week and I'm half way through a Dainite sole.
