Newbery cricket bat for £119.99! You can't really go wrong! May be risking it a bit with what you get weight wise and sports direct don't let you choose but surely at this price its worth the very slight risk. I would assume you would normally get something around 2lb10 as that seems about average for the newbery's (but don't take my word on it). Also , if you're going to vote cold , please at least state a reason :D. May also be good as a first proper english willow SH bat for a kid about the age of 15?

I would recommend checking out this website before making any cricket related purchase, especially bats
custombats.co.uk/cbf…php

I had a custom made bat for a little over this price. Best bit is you choose everything, your preference of weight, prrofile and even looks as you get to choose what ever number of grains you fancy.

Wouldn't make a good bat for 15 yr old if it weighs 2 10. These bats are good for amateur adults. Who play in 4th or 5th divisions of cricket leagues

Custom could also be a good route to go , but this still is a good deal for the large crowd of people who for some reason still buy the few times more expensive off the shelf bats :|.

I would say nowadays alot of 15 year olds are using bats getting up to the 2.10 mark. Maybe just an ounce or two below!

But they can't bat properly. I'm 6ft 2 and broad. I use a 2.8 bat. Out of preference for bat speed over wood. Kids should not need to worry bout power, should be technique
