Pro-tip - if you get a 12" pizza it will cover the entire plate so you can't see your over eating
i know these type of plates appear to be of the obvious doh! variety .. but they are very very good as a reminder, a nudge for those who are not good at having balanced meals, or not knowing which food to eat (limited pictured but leads to thinking about similar types of food), thoroughly recommend from having seen how they have helped to improve diets.

I switched to eating main meals on side plates, a piled high side plate of food looks better then a half empty dinner plate, some restaurant chains try this trick with their unlimited salad options and tiny dolls house bowls.

At yet armchair psychologists over here think they have all the answers.
Has no hight limiter... Ima just stack. Totally pointless and dumb idea... if you're fat run around a bit twice a week :/

Just buy a saucer......
Although fat people tend to be quite speedy towards an open buffet managing several round trips in rapid time.

You see, the issue here, is that you’re probably struggling with your weight, and rather than admit you’re a tad lazy or eat too much, you blame the psychology. You call people names as a defence strategy, as admitting your flaws to yourself is difficult. The truth is that portion control is nothing more than simply eating less. Nobody has a gun to your head when you buy food, cook food or serve food. Unless there are disabilities, or medication etc, obesity really is down to eating poorly and having a sedentary lifestyle. A plate like this is really more of a mockery than anything, if people don’t know how to eat a healthy balanced diet by now, they never will.
I have a few friends who struggle with their weight, some talk about portion sizes or whatever the latest truth avoidance is, though some are a very honest with themselves and admit that their problem is caused by simple overeating.

Good idea. The problem is that food manufacturers and retailers are aware of the same psychological tricks and try to get you to buy and eat more, especially unhealthy food.

The best thing to do IMO is to base most of your meals on a dish that is mainly vegetables, e.g. a thick tomato pasta sauce, vegetable curry, carrot soup, etc. Once you've done your recipe, bulk it out even more - e.g. you can always add a large amount of grated carrot.

After that add a small amount of lean protein - chicken, fish, beans - and a small amount of brown pasta, rice or sweet potatoes.

If your meal is mostly vegetables then portion control becomes less of an issue, because ten extra mouthfuls are less than one extra mouthful of cheap mince, sausages or anything other than in the "meat and two veg" type meal.

Agree, drop the potatoes, white bread, pasta and rice, replace with extra vegetables.

your last sentence. many people do not know how to eat healthily. they don't eat fresh. they don't eat home made. they eat processed. they eat fast food because that is what they're told because they have very very busy lifestyles .. even if they don't.

this to you may appear to be a joke, a mockery but it really is not. these plates serve a couple of purposes one is to set portion size, the second is to set the diet from one that is processed and carb rich to one that has more balance.

you may know this already however there are plenty of people who do not. and i have witnessed how this kind of plate has changed eating habits for the better.

It features pasta. Carb rich and processed durum wheat. Not exactly great. I’d also say that most people eat rubbish through fully informed choice, not ignorance. Most people know freshly prepared food, fresh fruit and veg and home cooking is healthier. A frozen pizza is cheaper and easier for them. It’s not ignorance, it’s convenience and laziness. This plate is a money making gimmick.

Actually ill be the first to admit that. But changing habits is psychological. Looks like you're just looking for an excuse to hate and weight issues are a convenient scapegoat. Poor form.

I admit, I do hate weakness, laziness and excuses. Obesity costs billions and it’s the tax payers money that it drains. It’s almost entirely avoidable and reversible. So when I see children that can’t get cancer treatment, trying to raise money from Go Fund Me pages, at the same time I see huge people waddling around city centres and town eating Greggs and complaining about their weight, yes it angers me. It’s not a psychological issue, just buy healthy food, eat properly and exercise more. You make your own choices and are entirely accountable for them.

You're also making the choice to act superior to others. I'm not one of those fat acceptance people but most overweight people are dealing with severe psychological issues causing them distress that they numb with food. I'm one of those people. It's not weakness, weakness is looking for anyone you can look down upon and make moral judgements upon.

Not superior, I just try harder. The majority of these people are not suffering with anything emotional, that’s a tiny percentage. The vast majority are just lazy and prefer to eat rubbish. Weakness is not trying harder, using food as a crutch, not saying no to foods like that, ordering takeaway, eating frozen processed rubbish. You’re accusing me of being judgmental, then you’d be correct. All of the same foods are available to me, but i resist and eat something else. Then I’m meant to pity people that can’t? How hard is it not to buy stuff? You’re taking no accountability for these actions. The few people that genuinely believe that they’ve got psychological issues are probably less than a few percent of the total people that have obesity problems. Funny how overweight people disagree with me, yet others that attend gyms and follow healthy lifestyles ask my advice on nutrition. As a tax paying citizen, I detest how much obesity costs our health service, that money could be used far more effectively.
if you need to lose weight

1. eat less
2. eat healthier food
3. exercise

you need to be disciplined
