you mean last saturday or this saturday?

5 a.m

Is this the same Next sale that rolls out all of their mothballed stock from last season and claim that "everything" is 50% off whereas it's usually the stock from previous seasons that they can't get rid of.

Starts on the 14th, not the 7th

I neva find anything decent.......so im nt sure i shud bother going....wot u thnk ppl

Thanks . Can anyone tell me how you can get to view the sale before it becomes live.

Always worth going - you never know, and you might find a cheap dictionary

After the vip slots, there's usually nothing left online

The sale is already online.

Just make sure people understand that it's EVERYTHING IN THE SALE, it's not going to be all their inventory.

Mabi u nt lookin prply?

I think the sale is good for formal wear as the last 2 years they have applied a massive discount to 90% of their suits and usually have a good selection of shirts in numerous sizes too. The last winter sale and summer sale I have picked up nice £200 suits for £80-£90 for daily wear, as well as some tidy shirts for £10. Sure the quality isn't Hugo Boss but for £90 their suits blast the equivalent Burtons monstrosity out of the water.

Casual clothes wise the sale isn't always the best. They usually remove their best stuff such as the nice polos and I imagine the chinos won't be included as they are so popular just now. You can still find some nice stuff but there is one important aspect...

YOU MUST BE THERE AT 5am!! Otherwise you will miss out on the best stuff. I always get in early and the male section is usually quieter than the female section at that time. From 5-6am I pretty much have free reign of all the suits. By 11am all the decent sizes are gone and you will only find a nice deal if you are built like a stick with a 36 inch chest.

Does anyone know whether there is likely to be much in the way of kid's bedding in the sale?

I am decorating my daughter's bedroom, and Next seem to have some lovely girly duvet covers, curtains and soft furnishings. Would be worth getting there at 5am if there was a chance of picking up some of these items half price.

That's because no self-respecting man is going to go queue up at 5am to buy a discounted suit from Next!

I get dragged along by my girlfriend so I have no choice, might aswell grab a bargain..

And like I said, the suit is ideal for day to day wear for £90. I would rather wear those in the office or out on site and leave my Hugo Boss and Paul Smith suits for a better occasion.

After their last sales, I wouldn't bother myself to be there at 5am. They put all the rubbish that no-one wants to buy, and those who buying it will be people who never buy at Next. No need to bother yourself to wake up so early, only if you need to buy because it's a SALE. There we no real bargains lately, so I would suggest you to do like me an avoid it.

How do you get a VIP slot

They allow regular online shoppers VIP slots (first come first served) to the sale online before it goes live to everyone else.

and a chance to preview the sale before you're slot so I have seen some brilliant stuff in homeware my slot is on Thursday morning so fingers crossed - but the ones to pick their slots first obviously get the best stuff.

Looks like ten year old stock will be surfacing again then, and even stuff that doesnt even go in the store. Think next sale items are specially made, its all rubbish.

Personally I think its all the tat that has been returned by customers to the store.
I wouldnt bother to get up at 5am just for that.

I'll definitely be going along to my local, but not at 5am, will probabley leave it to 8am.

I've always manaaged to get some great bargains in previous sales, both in clothing and non-clothing lines. This is one of the few sales that I really look forward to.

I always go to get some clothes for my children, always pick up a few bargains on jeans and coats but never anything nice for me

Worth having a look I got some really nice duvets for my daughter in the past in the sale

I would hate to work at Next starting work at 5am

I would imagine they would be there even earlier if the doors open at 5am.

And especially at the weekend

Well... Just checked into my VIP slot and fed up of looking after 5 minutes. Nothing but shorts for boys under 2, might pop instore tomorrow.

To update my previous posts...

Picked up 5 pairs of chinos for £54, and they are the same chinos that I was paying £27 - £35 a pair for back in March. Decided to avoid the suits as I couldn't really get a good fit without trying on properly, and most of the t shirts / polos were guff as predicted. They removed all of their recent nice polos and had year old left over stock polos instead but again, no great surprises there.

Still over the moon that they had all the chinos there, really well made and one of the few pairs that I can actually get over my legs (thanks squat and deadlift).

wow I still can't believed how packed the store was for 5am, will not be doing it again but got some lovely clothes for my kids so glad I went

I spent 250 on vip sale Wednesday evening an then popped instore this afternoon an spent 50 oops think I might be returning some stuff when it comes or so I have told the hubby lol

Further reductions in today at Bentley Bridge, Wolverhampton. (prices lowered as opposed to new stock lol)
