It is solar powered I think.

It's nuclear powered. A source of plutonium will be required.
Just buy the 512gw with the rear camera option.

Take no notice of the Halfords offer, as 90% of the time the actual offer price is the ACTUAL RRP.

Do these have to be plugged into cig charger constantly?

Thanks - I have this reserved but I am holding off for a better deal - when I looked at the individual parts I didn’t really think it was a massive saving

Yes it needs constant power.
You can buy a separate wiring kit to write it in to your fusebox. About £15 if I remember.

I paid £106.51 for the cam, wiring kit and 32gb card from Amazon in August, not sure how much polarizing lens costs though

I will wait until the fission version comes out next year as it is a bugger to get rid of the spent fuel without being detected by the UK atomic authority and MI6
  • To Claim this is "World’s first dashcam with Powered Magnetic Click & Go car mount for easy installation" is not true as I believe the first was the DDpia M6+ back in 2016 as seen here i have this cam also a 512GM
I have been researching these and found Amazon Link which provides all the above bar the memory card which you can pick up for around a tenner. The difference being the amazon one does 170deg viewing and at a higher resolution. Not wishing to put down your post OP which looks good if this is the model you want.
Use one of these and get it for £84.15

Hmmm ... thank you very much for your input. I have checked your link, It's pretty interesting. Specs wise is better but these are newly launched and probably need some more time to see the overall feedback. Personally, I prefer Next-base upon any other DashCams, specially from Amazon.

No it wasn’t but I already had a card and didn’t need a case as same for some people also. Don’t pay for stuff you don’t need.

You are trying to compare a quality brand with tat.
Don’t waste your money I’ve took this back and got a refund. Unless you wire it in on a full charge only lasts 20 minutes.
Is it easy to remove camera from the holder? As i had bad experience leaving dashcam in the vehicle overnight.

They're supposed to be like that. You won't find a dash cam with a built in battery for the use you're expecting.

It would explode in your car in the summer
Having brought two of thier high end dash cams. I wouldn't buy again, they are known for the battery lasts about year and half or just after th warranty runs out. They made some improvements but for the price not worth it. Added on some of the dash cams they put their own bespoke charging point meaning a standard USB port wont work. I had to ring up and was sent an adapter cos it is a common issue. Sneaky way to trap you in unless you change the wiring if you had it hard wired
sarahlbaker18th Nov

Wrong. It's meant to be wired into the fuse box by a fuse that's only live when the ignition is on / when the engine is running
So when it is plugged into the fuse box getting constant power it will work and when you switch the engine off and it has to run on it’s own battery said battery will go flat within 6 hours if the car is not driven
EzDeal1818th Nov

There is a hardwiring kit about £12 then Can be installed for £20

Actually its a very well produced unit, with excellent packaging and excellent software, the hardware is comparable or exceeds the hardware of the more well known brand. So I am intrigued, what did you base this assumption on?
Sure these are just a gimic save the 100 towards insurance .

1) it's only prote ting the car in front as of if there is a head on it's guns be quite clear who is at fault .

2) most small dings where it's really required are not in view of the front cam e.g. rear end or side hits .

3) good for vandalism but it's unliclky people will wire them to be always on

4) I doubt any 1 is going to tell the insurance about this new gadget that people will smash it window for.

Seriously has any 1 managed to get a successful claim reverced to the other party where there were not consequence to ur insurance . Even if it's proven the other person was at fault there still a nasty "have you been involved in a accident on last 5 years " mark on you .

Been driving 9 years 9 years no claims no point , 2 speed awareness lol

What’s funny about being done for speeding? Many dash cams have a rear camera too. They’re a good reference to any incident, it certainly helped us when someone drove on the wrong side of the road towards us last December.

I havn't been done for speeding I have been made aware twice. would the insurance company not have come to the same conclusion without the dash cam.

The normal price of the unit alone is 99 quid your getting a few extras in the bundle deal for the exact same price so worth it in my eyes if your after a decent little front facing camera I have a 612 4k nextbase camera and it's great but originally started with a 312

Dashcams aren't meant to be run on their own battery. They are meant to be powered either by 12v cable or by hard wiring. The cams own battery is only meant to provide a short over-run after you park up, or it can be used away from the mount to take photos if you are involved in an incident.

I have this cam and its been great. It does its main thing best, and thats the footage it shoots. Mine is hard wired.

And for those saying these are pointless unless a head on crash, there were also a spate of incidents where people threw themselves in front of stationary cars, claiming to have been hit. With a dashcam, you have the proof that the inciident is false, and avoid lengthy claims/issues.

EDIT: This cam is also currently available on its own for £55 on ebay, and in bundles up to £75.95

It's not designed to run constantly when your engine is turned off.
It's a dash cam, not a 24 hour cctv system.
