The newer and better 522gw was only £111 two days ago. If the price has went up, I'd still wait for it to drop again (which it does regularly).

I got one from there the other day as mine decided to give up last week.
looks decent. Just viewed a useful youtube video outlining features if anyone is interested: youtube.com/wat…qUU
I was thinking of downloading a dash app and using my mobile (and solid dash mount). I think it may prove to be more of a pain so I'm very tempted to buy something made for purpose.

Where from thanks
The offer was on amazon, currys, halfords, etc. Those offers have now ended. However, they come on regularly so wait around for it again.
I have this camera and although it is a nice dashcam when reviewing on my laptop the image seems to be too far away. For example, what is a near miss doesn't look anything like a near miss when reviewing. Also whilst it can read car number plates directly in front of you if you are close enough it cannot read number plates of any vehicles coming towards you. That could have come in useful the other day when I found a 44t truck overtaking a car on a single carriageway road coming in my direction. We actually have a campaign in the local village where I live with one of the issues being speeding lorries me the police have asked us to provide any evidence we can. Whilst I got the name of the company the registration number was unreadable.

Just to add my car is a ford Kuga which has a massive plastic housing under the rear view mirror so the camera is to the left of that which could be spoiling the view to the right hand side.
