Very good price for well reviewed dash cam. Online and instore. Halfords are selling it for the same price as well. Still in full price at most of the stores.

Top features:

- Quad HD picture quality and Sony Exmor R Sensor let you record more detail

- 140° ultra-wide angle lens captures more footage from each side

- Built-in WiFi and Click & Go GPS mount make uploading and tracking easy

- Dynamic recording with Time Laspe, Photo Mode, Auto Dimming and more

Quad HD picture quality

Capture journeys and road incidents in high quality with the Nextbase 512GW Dash Cam. It records in Quad HD 2560 x 1440 with a Sony Exmore R Sensor that enhances images captured in dim or bright conditions.

140° ultra-wide angle lens

Make sure you get as much into each scene as possible. The camera's 140° ultra-wide angle lens captures the road ahead, as well as traffic or sidewalk detail from each side - road signs, road markings and number plates.

Shoot sharper videos with six layers of glass and an anti-glare polarising filter to cut out reflections.

Built-in WiFi and Click & Go GPS

Send videos directly to your iOS or Android smartphone or tablet with built-in WiFi. Sharing footage is easy with the free Nextbase app – ideal when you're in an urgent situation, contacting your insurer or simply taking in a beautiful view.

Attach the dash cam without hassle using its Click & Go powered magnetic GPS mount – there are no wires to worry about with its magnets and touch points. Remove it easily for safety or to transfer to another vehicle.

Dynamic recording

If you're on a long trip or passing through spectacular scenery, Time Lapse takes a still image every minute. Relive that special journey later in high definition. Auto Dimming darkens the camera screen when you're driving in dim conditions or at night.

No wires? - So how long does it run on the internal battery ?
Sorry but cold, Buy a G1W for about £30 or a Mobius for about £50.
I have both and find them still superb even after nearly 3 years of constant use but more importantly the recorded picture quality is superb.

You have to wire it up.
Hi Paulandpam1 is that the mobius 1 or 2 you recommend, do you have to buy a kit to use it as a dash camera? A link would be great. Thanks
i have just bought one from Nextbase website for £119.99

nextbase.co.uk/pro…gw/

£149.99 - 20% (FCP20) = £119.99

Do you have a link for the G1W? Ebay has many but guess there's some fake ones too now.

Budget cameras that are not in the same league with features, yeah the the video is spot on and that’s where it ends.
Just a heads up, you should also buy the nextbase hardwire kit for this, wire it straight into the fusebox that way and hide the wire along top of window and down the pillar

The Mobius software is fantastic, the camera is the size of a matchbox and therefore can be left in situ when parked. For the price of this you could have two Mobius cameras (one front and one rear). Click and go, means unclick and take it with you or here's a better idea put it in the glove box because Simon Smackhead will never look there or under the seats when he sees the mount fitted to the windscreen. The new Mobius cameras can record at 60 FPS @ 1080p, I would rather that than 30 FPS @ qhd. Much smoother footage and captures more frames.

GPS? no thanks! You have an accident at 32mph then the other persons insurance company will have a field day.

Wifi has always been pointless on dash cameras, really slow and awkward, better using a cable.

EACH TO THEIR OWN but the Mobius is so discreet and easy to use I have always really found them to be better than bulky cameras with a screen.

I bought mine from Amazon a few years ago to use as a removable camera because I drive different works vehicles but you are correct in the many fake comments, What I did was look for the camera with the most genuine positive reviews.

I've had my mobius for over two years so it's the mark 1.
You will have to buy a windscreen mount from ebay, mine cost 99p and also a power adapter costing about £5 if you wish to hard wire it into your cars fuse box, mine is hard wired this way and it is virtual impossible to see from the outside of the car and works automatically when you start the engine.
I recently had my car mot'd and I checked the recordings and the mechanics never even noticed it when they took it for a test drive judging by their comments about how my car fuc*ing flies..
