No vote but just save yourself £49 and buy a G1W. 1080p and the quality is on point.

The only difference would be the WiFi and GPS. Not a necessity as most laptops and desktops include a SD card reader. GPS is negotiable as to whether it worth having. Location and speed tracking is nice but on the other hand could dob you in and be used against you in the case of an accident.

Swings and roundabouts.

Yeh, no vote here either, might be a good deal for that product, but honestly, I love my Yi Dash cam, quality is fantastic, and cost much less than that, and many other options exist at much less than 89 pounds.

Just uploaded a sample video to Youtube, still processing, once complete should show available as 1080p.

I don't know why so many of these dash cams are so indiscreet. I want it to be the same dark grey plastic rear view mirrors are made of with no writing or colored patches.

i keep on looking at those on gearbest, about £20, a little more with capacitor instead of battery... are they any good?

Yeh, video is from a few weeks ago, but it's all I have right now, as I'm traveling without access to the cam. Number plates are readable as cars get closer too, and also if you have the video and pause it you can read them much more easily. As far as I've seen none of the cameras have much better quality.

Some of them are replacement rear view mirrors, and so entirely discreet, some even have screens inside the mirror, that you can just see when they are on, but looks like a normal mirror when it's off.

IF you were involved in an accident and it was your fault due to speeding or driving error etc, and 'caught' on your own dash cam would that footage see the light of day....?

Depending on the accident and if injuries occurred you may not even have a choice, for example if you were taken off in an ambulance.

Of course, but mostly footage wouldn't be produced by a driver at fault.

First thing I spotted whilst watching that video - can't make out if the plate is OUTATIME or not!
