That's for Series 1 devices not Series 2 so not really comparable price wise. Also, I bought the Series Two one last week - same price from Amazon - as I could not find it cheaper elsewhere - heat from me.

It's the best price for the official kit, £20 at most places. Obviously people are free to buy generic kit (and I often do) but some will prefer or think they have to have the official one.

This kit has the 90° cable so I can have it really close to my auto wiper/light sensor, the straight connector on the other kit just means it'd need to be further away from the mirror (I have mine behind the mirror).

Thanks for your feedback
Off subject but does anyone else find their nextbase dashcam absolutely kills DAB signal? I fitted a 522GW recently with the hardwire kit and with the dashcam turned on I only get DAB signal in strong signal areas.

Mine works fine but I did use the magnet supplied.

I didn't know this, thanks to wickenden
I bought one for £10 on eBay, official series 2 kit.
However, worth paying the extra £4 for the faster shipping possibly.

Have you tried the included magnet 20cm from the camera?

I think someone told me about that (ferrous something they called it ) . When It started happening I thought it was because the power line runs alongside the aeriel ( I have a 1 series BMW and the power comes from the fusebox in the boot alongside the rear radio aerial and under the headlining to the dashcam by the mirror . Must look into it when I have a bit of time . Halfords fitted it about 2 years ago and there was no magnet in the fitting kit then .

For £1.20 it's worth a try. Instructions with current fitting kit say 20cm away from camera is optimal but if that's into your roof lining you could always try next to the camera?

Worth a try - Thanks . Fitted the rear one myself when I saw how easy it was so plenty of room under the headlining to hide it if necessary .

Same in my car my dash cam keeps freezing & I have to keep restoring it to factory settings it’s hard wired with back camera fitted
I have recently hardwired my dashcam to the fuse box (2009 Kia Soul). It turns on only when the car is switched on but does not supply power for motion detection when the car is parked. The wiring is connected to ACC in the fuse box. What is wrong?
The cam does have that function and it works when there is permanent power. Should I connect it to another socket (would Kia does it differently?) ? and if so which one should I connect to? Really want to get the motion detection working. Thanks

Sounds like you've got it on one of the fuses that is switched live (only on when the ignition is) rather than permanent live (always on). Just try a different one, I had to try a couple as some of the fuses that I suspected would be switched were just staying on
