it's cool to pull out at a party but then when you go home and actually use it and remember that all your mates own iPhone's and Samsung's, you slowly walk to your bedroom, shut the door close and start crying

I've been looking at this for ages but I couldn't find a UK seller that wasn't charging out the ass, I brought a oneplus 3 instead but I'm still tempted to pick one of these up

More than happy with my xiaomi especially knowing my phone last twice as long as either brand mentioned and cost 1/5 the price - no tears here

Which xiaomi did you go for? And did you bother with any ROMs or launchers?

I'm looking at the redmi 3s, and ideally want to install cyanogenmod onto it

I am a big Android fan but iPhone is much more reliable and gets regular updates. While I am begging for updates on my Android phones which hardly get any update. Only iPhone screen is very fragile and needs yo be protected very well.

The main feature of this phone is the integrated cloud storage which is frankly stupid and expensive (and probably not secure). It also philosophically ruled out an sdcard slot which would be more useful. After that it is a slightly strange phone and not much phone for the money.

I beg to disagree.
Depends on what you really want/need from a phone.

Wife always had every Galaxy Samsung from S2 to S7 Edge personally hated touchwiz when I had to use her phone or help her.

I've owned everything from Motorola to Sony, HTC, LG then dabbled with one plus, Xiaomi and Wileyfox.

In a pinch I used her S6 when my phone went wrong (Sony M5 Dual) as she upgraded to S7 and we hadn't sold it on yet.

That was in March and I'm still on the S6.
Touchwiz is lighter and much like an iPhone (which I'm not keen on) it's updated regularly and runs smooth as butter.

They are expensive but I get why so many fans of the leading brands now...

I decided it's better to have an as new Samsung a year old than a new cheaper phone.

Bit like cars, after a year someone else took the pain of the biggest depreciation drop but you still have warranty!

Excellent price!
I only wish Amazon.com deliver to the UK because it's only $170 (~£136) in USA

Aren't the specs on this better than the Wileyfox Swift 2 plus for less money (better screen and processor)? Or is a snapdragon 430 better than a snapdragon 808, with the former being newer?

Not received the Nextbit yet so I don't know if it's better, but my previous Wileyfox wasn't great. So many problems that I returned it after 2 weeks.

Have you order the Nextbit Robin?

Does anyone know how the Snapdragon 617 chip on the Moto G4 compares to the 808?

Have you received the Nextbit Robin yet and if so, how are you finding it? What is the battery life like?

Thanks for your help

I'd say battery life is average at best. Slightly better battery than an iPhone 6 but obviously that's easy to beat.

I love the design and the sheer sturdiness of the phone. Also, the 100GB cloud storage feature has already been very helpful.

The only problem I have had so far is with the alarm.
I find that setting my alarm to a quieter volume helps me wake up, however there is a bug with the latest OS where the alarm always uses the loudest setting for the volume. Obviously, not a major issue but it gave me a fright when it rang this morning oO
