It was and still is, gremlins? nope.....

What an elegant, classy 4G logo on that image...

Tcb as well?

Standard price as it was in Nov on the google play site, still £299

Standard price as it was in Nov on the google play site, still £299

But your saving a whole £1. With that you could by a 40" Plasma TV from Tescos!

Heat added as it may be easier for folk than dealing with Google Play, and should have the option to return for full refund in store within 14 days (I think)

However I think the Moto G at almost a third of the price, and seemingly much better battery life would be my choice.

Google charges £10 for deliver, where Carphone Warehouse offers free next day delivery (except Saturday). There is a £11 saving.

Although you pay extra for google postage - the warranty and post sales service with Google is good. Faulty handset - they ship out a replacement NEXT DAY (no shipping charge) - then you post them back the faulty unit.

Took me 6 weeks, 8 emails and several phone calls to get a refund off Google... so not so great in my case.

I've used both, you can tell which one is the £300 plus phone, and which one is the £100 phone to say the least. Moto G is a fantastic phone is you're on a budget, but the nexus 5 is on a different level

I had a nexus 4 but the reports on the nexus 5 battery life out me right off.....

Agreed i had an issue with my Newus 7 and it was a nightmare getting them to process the refund just because they are so difficulty to get hold of.

Still happy with my Nexus 4 thankyou Google. Still manages everything I throw at it so I'll skip the Nexus 5 (for now)!

Very true, I've had a Nexus 5 from launch when they were £295 at CPW and recently got the missus a Moto G. To be perfectly honest though, if the Moto G was out at the same time I probably would've gone for one of them instead purely based on bang for buck but luckily it wasn't so I got the chance to appreciate the Nexus for what it is as used side by side it is much slicker but in isolation I'm not so sure. Very surprised how much difference the on paper not much bigger screen makes too.

The Moto G is an outragous phone for the money but i would agree the nexus is way ahead, as it should be for 2-3 times the price.

I have Moto G and Nexus 4...

I prefer Moto G and for the money ie £100 its fantastic. Great battery around 20 hours. Enough for a day. No real need to spend £300 anymore. 1gb ram seems fine. Yet to get Kitkat but should be this week

It's better than the Nexus 4 and after the new toy novelty wears off it's perfectly OK. Apart from a couple of features, which may or may not be important to you like wireless charging, the Moto G edges the Nexus 4.

OMG! A whole pound cheaper than the RRP, what an amazing deal!! If I buy 299 of them it would be like getting one free!

Mine updated last Friday to KitKat 4.4.2 so you should have it already.

I had the nexus 5 from cpw for £295 battery is not an issue if you use the general battery saving apps, previously had HTC ONE X and battery is better than that and tho I did like my ONE X I can say that you won't be dissapointed if you went for a nexus 5. not sure if it's a hot deal as I got mine at £295 but I supposed is cheaper than it has been for a while.

have heard some horror stories

Nice price, but every time I order from CPW, it sets off loads of fraud warnings and my cards get locked, so I tend to buy elsewhere where possible.

IMHO the different graphics chipsets makes the Nexus 4 a better phone. The extra RAM in the Nexus 4 is good, but maybe not so significant.

Someone told me the same story about p4u, i ordered my G as £99 from them, so far no fraud for me .Credit card used FYI. Do use your credit card as normally if something happen, their policy said would cover that as long as you report in time.

this website has really gone downhill if this is considered a good deal.

you are right mate, just said by the guy from their online chat.

Dont let the battery life put you off...Mine is fantastic

I class myself as an average user. Unplugged mine fully charged yesterdy at 7am and today at 11.30am its reading 56%

Always had to recharge my last android/apple phones at the end of the working day.

Bought mine from Google last week (32gb) for £348 delivered. Took two days to come.

Awesome, fast phone. Perfect size screen without looking too big in the hand

Buttery smooth, NO lag at all

The glass feels so slippy with no drag, its a pleasure to use

Screen is nice, but not as saturated as the OLED screens from Samsung

Feels GREAT in the hand. Plastic back gives good grip.

Not used camera much but recent upgrade apparently made it faster and sharper. Images I have taken with HDR look really good.
Image stabilisation a very good plus.

No standard messaging app anymore. Google want you to use Hangouts app. Not interested, so I use free app called Chomp SMS
Excellent alternative with no ads.

I really recommend this phone. Just buy it!

Screen, although there are better out there, is FAR better than than the Nexus 4. ( one of the worst and washed out that I have encountered ) The glass back gives zilch grip and easily slides off sofas, chairs etc.

Fart and it cracks
