Just bought one of these. Was a bit suspicious that, at this price, it might be a 'grey' import and take forever to arrive but it came within 4 days and is a full UK spec phone with original UK charger etc.

I know Google are about to launch new phones and I know you can buy higher spec phones from Xiaomi for less than this etc etc but I wanted a trouble free phone with a big screen which was fully supported in the UK.

This is an excellent phone especially at this price.

And the One Plus Three is now available from o2 shops at £336. Wait a week, see the new Pixel phones/prices and make your choice. Its a great time to be needing a new Android phone.

The OP3 is not in the same class as the NP6, This time next year the Op3 will be forgotten and the N6P will still be sought after, still be higher quality and will still have software support.

Yes my gut tells me that also. My mother is still using her Nexus 4 which is nearly 4 years old now. Lots of family using nexus 7 2013's also. On the other hand, I also feel the pixel phones will be too expensive.

It does appear that the Pixel phones are going to have high end pricing so to match this you'd need the XL version which may well be £500+.
These may come down some but I doubt they will be slashed. I hope so as I'd buy one at £300 which may be feasible for the 32GB.

Yes, I'd like the smaller pixel phone to be around £300, £350 at a push. The size of the 6P and 1+3 put me off slightly so I can't see myself going for the Pixel XL. If I had to guess, I'd say the Pixel will be £400 and the XL £450 on day 1 for the 32GB model which is too rich for me.

Judging by the price of the 5X and 6P I think they will be more than that.
A real shame as I'd like a phone that is guaranteed to get updates and upgrades without having to wait or root the phone.

Yes, I've got a feeling you are right and I will be heading down to an o2 shop on the 5th to bag myself a 1+3.

Blimey. That's way too rich for me. I have to say, without wanting to sound smug, having seen the Pixel XL price/spec now I'm very happy with my 6p. I'm not sure the prices will come down that much anytime soon ☺️

Totally crazy prices. No thanks Google.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but how worried are you about the warranty?

Looking at reviews for the company (TechInTheBasket?) it seems like you'll get the product just fine then be completely ignored the moment after.

I'm torn between the risk of this at £350 (with vouchers) or getting the last 32GB model at my local o2 shop for £440.

I may be wrong but I've assumed the warranty is with the manufacturer not the retailer, so I ignored any comments. In the past I had an LG G3 which I bought from mobiles.co.uk on a contract. After 3 months the battery died so I contacted LG and they sent me a new replacement phone. I assume Huawei/Google will provide the same level of service of needed.

Ah, is that so?
Stupid me, just read the "we offer one year warranty" in the condition description and didn't even think of the manufacturer's warranty.

Thank you very much for the reply and the information. About to place my order now.

At least after 24months an iPhone is still worth about 40-50% of its original value. The Pixel will be lucky to be hitting 25%. I love the feel of vanilla Android but Google have seriously jumped the shark with this one.
