Just depends on how long they take to adjust, good for those who are keen to buy.
Been waiting for this - well done So I can buy this from Play for 159 with 9.99 postage, or 169.99 from John Lewis, free delivery and 2 year warranty. Also, has no-one spied the Nexus 32GB with Data for £239!

It's reasonable. *facepalm*
They're using a crazy-ass resolution IPS display with an A15 processor. It's in direct competition with the iPad 3.

if you work out the vat, the price if you buy in america would be £250
Guys, where are you finding the info about Nexus 10 price? - I am debating getting Nexus 7 32gb or the Nexus 10, all depends on price for me. I really think I want a 10 inch screen but the price of The Nexus 7 is spot on.
Except in the US, they pay state taxes so it'll work out similar.

Not sure whether to go for a nexus 10 or iPad 4th gen. Similar price for me because I get iPads on discount at work.

Any opinions?
Does anyone know how the postage works from Google without me having to setup a Google wallet and checkout? Is it 9.99 per delivery or per item (I'm after 2).
Makes the Galaxy Nexus seem horribly expensive in comparison.

I'm a huge Android fan but there is only one tablet can deliver everything you'll ever need and that is an iPad.

The issue is, the Nexus 10 does not have external memory just like the iPad.

Hence why I'm not sure what to go for, I have an iPhone. But I'm open to android.

It is a little disappointing that the UK prices for the Nexus 10 are not equal to converting the USD price and then add 20% VAT, but relatively speaking, the hardware spec (most notably the screen and processor) is excellent for the price when compared to the competition (Android and iPad).

Why would you need external memory if you have iCloud, Dropbox etc? Why do you need hdmi out when you can mirror to the tv using Airplay? Emulators are available. Lets not turn this into a fanboy war. Everyone has their own opinion and mine is that my iPad has been the best thing I have ever bought, and I buy ALOT of tech.
to the cheapskate asking for the 8gb to cost £99, you realise they are almost making a loss on the 8gb tablets? they cost around 130 to make. 149 for 8gb 179 for 16gb and 199 for 32gb is sensible. I got the 16gb at launch and love it. wont get the 3g nexus 7 but may get the nexus 10 after reading reviews of it.

While not a perfect solution, at least the Nexus tablets should support USB OTG... the iPad certainly does not!

I do think that Apple products are slick, but I just can't justify the price.

The £10 voucher is the usual and annual Curry's "con" where you have to buy an item costing £30 plus at a later stage (pre-Christmas etc sale !).
If you can get it at £169 from JL with 2 years warranty and free delivery then great...saw it at £189 there online earlier...price match locally???

For travel around places that don't have wifi, but have a large tv, I go twice a year. Your answer doesn't help what I need, it's not an iPad...

Wow lol, thanks a lot. I think it is definitely the nexus 7 for me. Whole reason I love it is the price and I definitely do not want to be paying in the region of ipad prices. Not for what I want it for.

Cheers, I am sure I will be fine with 7 inch lol (that sounds very wrong haha).

Unfortunately despite what Apple would like people to believe the actual memory costs are tiny, the 64GB iPhone costs £19 more than the 16 GB to make.

But costs £170 more.

Translate this into 8GB vs 16GB Nexus tablets with tiny margins, and its probably about £3 difference for the extra storage.
In store at HMV for only a quid more!

I e-mailed them friday and they agreed to price match Currys - So caught in two minds which to do now. John Lewis probably best option with the 2 year warranty plus their service.

Isn't it? $400 equates to about £258 at a conversion rate of 1.55. You add 20% VAT to that and you get £309. Similar for the 32 Gb version.
