Nice find +Heat!

They're just price matching Tesco Direct. Price will go back up when The Tesco £20 voucher expires.

Exactly, prefer to get from Tesco as they were first with the deal and you get points.

Prefer Amazon - customer service is second to none.

I actually prefer the first Nexus, feels nicer in the hand, just as fast really, sound doesn't give a static noise at low volumes

do I really need one??

Amazon have priced matched a few items now that Tesco are doing cheaper through their voucher code. Nice to see B)

Great price for who needs upgrading. Heat added.

Let's see what Flubit comes up with...

You forgot the smiley there :-) At the very best, the 7.7 is equivalent to the 2012 Nexus 7 and its RRP remained over 400 quid! And the less said about Touchwiz, the better...

Me, I'm buying KitKat multipacks to try to win a 2013 Nexus 7 - about as much chance of winning as the Samsung 7.7 has of being a better tablet than it!

I have both. The 2013 model is considerably faster, the screen is also much better and the tablet is lighter.

I disagree, its not noticeably faster. The tablet is more slippery and doesn't feel as nice to hold

I disagree, I have the original and my flatmate the new one. His is far snappier, responds much better to touch and is certainly faster at screen refreshes despite the higher resolution.

how cheap can it be?

Does pc world/ currys price match amazon?

If you have to ask, yes. If you're not sure, yes. If you have one, you need another. Basically yes.

the best small tablet out there.the new kindle (out next month I think) has some great specs, putting it above the n7 but I'd rather have the nexus and android. apparently they're only aiming to break even with the hardware with the kindle, the real money comes to then through other purchases.

You're insane in the membrane. It's a beast this new one. The processor alone is twice as fast. It's higher resolution, the cameras are better, the GPU is I think four times faster but the increased resolution sort of negates that a bit. It's still way faster in every way. It's only slippery if you've had your hands in a vaseline jar and I'm not even going there. Give it a chance, it wants to love you, you just need to let it

flubit. if i remember ill update this with the offer i get.

Staples same price I think

This or LG G Pad?

Just went through my mind- importing one from Amazon.com @ $229.

When going through checkout - not that the wife would ever speak to me again if I ordered one - then they add the £30 import fees deposit!

How does this work? - I thought this was paid at Buyer's end?

Maybe things have changed since last time I ordered internationally!?!??!

I've been looking at getting one of these for everyday web browsing, reading at night and watching a couple of films on. Question is- do I need the 16gb or do I spend a bit more on the 32gb?

Cheers OP!

An awful lot of that storage is taken up by system stuff. Personally I went for the 32 because I wanted to store films and shows on it etc. There is also no micro sd slot to expand memory. You can however, with the addition of an OTG cable from Amazon, and £2.62 for the Nexus media Importer App, have it able to read and write to memory sticks or external hard drives. i still prefer the memory built in though, so went for 32 plus the OTG cable etc. Best of both worlds :-)

Edit: On the 32GB model you only get 26GB of that storage to actually use, the rest being system. I assume that means on the 16GB you will probably only get 10GB for your own use.

£168 offer from Flubit here, now do I buy?

Flubit offered this for £175. Is the extra £4 worth Amazon service. I'd say yes.

Struggling to find how anything can be 'far snapper' than 1/4 of a second. Crazy.

Great deal! You noticed the price drop from £199 to £179 at the very second! Thanks OP!

Does anyone know if John Lewis will price match this? They offer a two year warranty on the nexus

... Nevermind "please ensure that the retailer you're reporting has a high-street shop, and is not online only. (we don't match online-only or mail order businesses such as Dixons, Amazon or Play.com) "

Thanks for your help.. reckon 32gb then, can never have too much space!

Personally I think 16gb is far too small for a device whose sole purpose is entertainment. You'll burn through that in no time after Spotify downloads, TED downloads, games and any films you want to upload.

Plump with the 32gb.

Shame they've not matched the 32GB one :-(

If you could make phone calls and text from this and have microsd card slot, this would be the perfect smartphone (phablet) ever build! Yet, it is still the best tablet out there!
