Will the normal 3G sim work on this? Thanks

I'm sorry op, I voted cold by mistake, I was trying to vote hot on a touchscreen, guest I've had one too many

not available to collect at my local argos stores.

Anyone know if the 16 gb standard version will drop to £149.99 any time soon?

No worries, thanks for the honesty! I've done the same myself - wish there was a way to correct it.

Hot, because this isn't an iPad mini WiFi/3G.

Looks like one of those great Argos offers where they have no stock.

None in my local 120 stores...

Nearest is Weybridge / Dunstable, apparantly, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out they haven't got them in.

Been the same thing with the Moto G the last week, and a number of "headline grabbing" items in the past.

Same here out of stock in most of the stores....

Tried to reserve one, showing as in stock to collect, but when I try to reserve I get a message saying there has been an error and to check my email to see if the reservation has been made. No email is received.

I just did the same and got the error message. I really want one of these nexus tablets but i am getting so confused by all the different ones. Whats this one compared to nexus 2013 32gb which is what i thought i should go for?

With this (4G) one you can put a sim card with a data plan into it to use when you're out and about and don't have access to wifi.

There are three models -

16gb wifi: Argos Link (for info only - cheaper from Amazon than Argos)

32gb wifi: Argos Link (for info only - cheaper from Amazon than Argos)

32gb wifi with 4G (this one): Argos Link

"Sorry, we are unable to confirm the reservation for some of your items. If you requested an email copy of your reservation then please check your email before trying again - as the email version will show if the reservation has been confirmed."

The 16GB wifi was recently £150. So you are paying £120 more for 16GB more memory and a 4G connection... cold for me.

I kind of agree - about £200 is the 'right' price for this. Having said that, I bet you can't find it available for less than £120 difference?

So it's hot for the time-being (_;)

You're talking about the 2012 model. The 2013 hasn't dropped to that price anywhere as it's circa £200. Get your facts right, Mr Freeze.

amazon.co.uk/Net…sim

slightly hot and going in the right direction, i would have bought one if it was £200 but that will take another 12 months

If this was a 64gb model or priced closer to £200 I would be all over this.

if you pay by halifax debit/credit card you get 5% cashback

IMO you can't compare iPad with a nexus tablet. completely different machines.

IMO you can, and this would still win. If compared to the original mini, there's no contest; this has superior specs all around. If compared to the mini with Retina, that's a more even match in terms of specs, give or take a few insignificant differences. Considering that the 32GB mini with Retina and 4G retails for £499 and will likely be no cheaper than around £470, again this wins hands down.

As for the apps and ecosystem, each has pluses and minuses so IMO comparing those is like comparing an "apple" to a "chocolate bar"....

I hate those Tesco wild goose chases and have given up on them , at least Argos you can check local store stocking online

Game.co.uk do the 16GB for £150 but are out of stock. I bought one the other week for my sons birthday next week. Great piece of kit and very impressed.

This deal seems over priced compared but it is the cheapest available so is a deal none the less.

Its an horrendous combination of this site trying to rape the referral process and a shyte Argos site.

HUKD should be ashamed but Argos the (greek) giant it is should be embarrassed about the joke that they call a website.

Am i alone in thinking, 'what on earth are you on about'?

Who goes into an Argos store without either doing a stock check and/or reserving first?
Where is the wild goose chase you allude to?

Im assuming thats what you were getting at of course as your post was nonsense.

Who cares, it's out of stock and will likely never be in stock at that price ever again (or at least not for a long time), so unless you post a deal with a bargain bucket time machine you may as well just shut up...

Also, the fact you voted cold on this for the reasons stated shows you have no idea how this site is supposed to work.
Regardless of of whether you think the 4G and extra memory is worth the extra money is irrelevant, if you can't find this spec model for cheaper this is a hot deal, it's as simple as that.

How? It's using Android not IOS. Apple do tablets better than Android, I don't own any Apple products so I'm not biased

Why are we all getting excited about £30 off???? 10.1" and you have a deal, too small to spend the money on, a tablet should be 10.1" this 7" stuff defeats the whole object, look at the border as well?? I wont vote.
